Great Seneca Little Playhouse is a licensed in-home daycare and preschool in Gaithersburg, MD. The child care facility is located right off Muddy Branch Rd and Great Seneca Hwy (route 119). Your daily commute to work will be easy since it's within easy access of major roads such as Darnestown Rd (route 28), Sam Eig Hwy (I-370), and the I-270 (Washington National Pike / Dwight D. Eisenhower Hwy).
About the Owner:
The owner and main caregiver is a licensed provider with CPR & First-aid certifications and an Associate's Degree in Social Sciences. She’s also a mom of 3, so she has first-hand experience with her own kids and can understand your child care needs. Her program offers a safe and secure environment, and personal attention.
Curriculum:
This daycare uses a Montessori-inspired curriculum and follows the Play-based learning approach. Their goals are dual-sided: to help parents feel good about the care their children receive, and to make it a safe, educational, and fun experience for the child. Daily activities includes math, reading, art, science, and writing. If the weather is nice, they go to the nearby community playground for some fun outdoor playtime.
Program:
Great Seneca Little Playhouse is open year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Mondays through Friday. They offer full-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided to all kids attending their program (included in the tuition). They also maintain a peanut and tree-nut free environment to prevent any allergies.
Before and after school care are also available for older kids up to 7 years old (their home is close to Fields Road Elementary School and DuFief Elementary School)

For a home daycare, this is a lovely environment to be in for infants and early toddlers. It's family-oriented, relaxed, clean and the children (including mine) really seemed to enjoy being there.
There is a schedule that is generally followed, and the owner takes pride in providing an edifying space for the children. She's also very good about partnering with you for things that overlap daycare and home, such as naps and potty training.

I can not be more grateful for her and her daycare! I drop my son off with the upmost confidence that he will be well cared for, and loved. He is never upset when I drop him off and is always happy when I pick him up. She is attentive to my requests for information throughout the day and is helpful in providing nurturing advice from her own parenting experiences. She provides the best child care!

The caregiver at this daycare is one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met. she took my girls in & they quickly became like family. We could not be happier with the care our son has received at this Family Child Care. She takes great care with our son's individual needs (diet, sleep schedule, personal routine and items, etc.) and also keeps us updated on health and wellbeing throughout the day. He has flourished in her care, and has learned so much from all the other kids. If you want someone to be a mom to your child when you cannot be there, she is the person for you!

This provider has a nice character, good mother and a trustful person. She is one of the ladies that I can trust to leave my child with her. she is not only a good, caring, kind person, she also has Knowledge how to behave with different age kids. she taught my daughter good discipline and also thought her alphabets in a short time. I think anyone can trust her.
