Welcome to Woodland Hills Kids Playhouse, a cozy in-home daycare in the Woodland Hills community of Gaithersburg, Maryland. My facility is conveniently located close to Watkins Mill Rd and easily accessible from Montgomery Village Ave (Midcounty Hwy Route 124), N Frederick Ave (route 355) and the I-270.

Program Information

If you’re looking for a warm, safe, and fun place where your child can learn and feel right at home, you’re in the right place! I’m here to provide your little one with personal attention in a small, family-like setting.

• Hours: 6:30am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday
• Ages: From 6 weeks to 5 years
• Programs: Full-time and part-time care options, with meals included

I know that every family’s needs are different, so I offer both full-time and part-time care, and I welcome infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. A good day of play and learning requires good food! I include snacks and lunch as part of our program, so you don’t have to worry about packing meals.

Teaching Philosophy

At Woodland Hills Kids Playhouse, I follow a play-based learning approach because I believe kids learn best when they’re engaged and having a good time. Here’s a bit of what we do each day:

• Reading & Story Time: Reading helps build language skills and a love for books from an early age!
• Music and Dance: It’s not just for fun; we use songs to help learn the ABCs, numbers, and counting in a way that sticks.
• Social Skills and Confidence: I encourage kids to be kind, share, and build friendships. Each day, they’ll practice positive interactions in a gentle, family-like setting.

About Me

I’m the owner and caregiver here at Woodland Hills Kids Playhouse. I’m a mom myself, with 10 years of child care experience, including a year spent working in a licensed child care center (and 20 years of experience as a mother!) I have a Bachelor's Degree in Arts, and I’m certified in CPR and First Aid, so your child’s safety is always a top priority.

I stopped working to raise my own child, and now that he’s grown, I’m excited to get back to what I love: working with kids. Kids bring a special energy to each day. I love storytelling, singing, and dancing, so you can expect lots of laughter and music! I strive to give each child my full attention in an intimate, loving environment.

Choosing a daycare is a big decision, and I want you to feel comfortable knowing your child will be safe, loved, and supported here. Because we’re a home-based daycare, I can give each child the attention they deserve in a small group setting. I’m here to help your child learn, laugh, and grow each day with the care and guidance they need.
