Location:

Welcome to Forest Brook Discovery House 2, our bilingual home-based daycare in Germantown, MD! 🤗 Our licensed family child care and preschool program is located in the Gunners Lake Village subdivision, near Forest Brook Rd and Waring Station Rd.

We are near Roberto Clemente Middle School, a few minutes from S. Christa McAuliffe Elementary School, and within easy access to Great Seneca Hwy (MD 119) and the I-270, making our daycare a convenient choice for busy families in Germantown and Montgomery County!

Program:

Our Spanish bilingual daycare program is open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm. We offer full-time child care for infants as young as 6 weeks old, as well as care for toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. We also offer a fun summer camp program and seasonal activities throughout the year.

Nutritious daily snacks are included in tuition for all children in our care. All food is prepared and stored in a tree-nut and peanut-free environment to help support the safety of children with allergies.

Forest Brook Discovery House 2 proudly welcomes children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment tailored to their needs. For children with other special needs, we respectfully recommend a prior assessment so we can better understand how to provide appropriate care and make sure we can meet each child’s unique needs.

About Us:

Since first opening in 2007, our journey has been guided by a sincere desire to support families through high-quality, compassionate child care. With the opening of our second location, we are proud to continue that mission and provide another warm, welcoming space for our growing community.

Our team is CPR, First Aid, and MAT (Medication Administration Training) certified. We are committed to creating a home-like daycare environment where children feel safe, nurtured, and cared for like family.

Every day, we are inspired by the children in our care as they learn, grow, and build confidence in their own unique ways. We value strong, lasting relationships with families and believe in working together to support each child’s early development. Being part of these important early years is something we deeply cherish, and we are honored to provide a place where children can flourish and families can feel right at home.

Philosophy:

At Forest Brook Discovery House 2, we believe early childhood care should feel like an extension of home, where children are embraced with warmth, patience, and genuine affection. Our approach centers on a family-like environment with consistent routines, attentive caregiving, open communication with families, and individualized attention for each child. We strive to support not only children’s development, but also their happiness and emotional well-being every day.

Daily Routine:

Our days at Forest Brook Discovery House 2 are designed to provide a consistent and engaging routine that supports both learning and emotional development. As a Spanish bilingual program, we incorporate both English and Spanish throughout the day, helping children build early language skills naturally and confidently.

Our daily routine includes structured play, engaging learning activities, story time, and music and movement to encourage curiosity, creativity, and social development. When the weather is nice, children enjoy outdoor play in our safe, fenced backyard, where they can explore, build motor skills, and play actively with friends.

We also prioritize healthy meals and quiet nap time to support each child’s well-being and energy throughout the day. Above all, children are surrounded by love, encouragement, and hands-on interaction throughout their experience with us. Our goal is to nurture happy, confident learners who feel safe, valued, and excited to grow in a bilingual setting. 🌟

Thank you for reading about us! This second location is a reflection of the trust and strong relationships we have built with the families in our daycare community. We would love to welcome you, please schedule a visit or contact us through CareLuLu to learn more. 💕
