Gunners Lake Playhouse, Germantown

Welcome to Gunners Lake Playhouse in Germantown, my home-based daycare and preschool. My family child care program is located in the Gunners Lake Village neighborhood, near Waring Station Rd. Your daily commute to work will be very convenient since I have easy access to all major roads such as Washington National Pike (I-270), Great Seneca Hwy (route 119), and Middlebrook Rd.

I'm the owner and main caregiver of this safe and loving daycare program. I'm a mother of 2 grown-up kids, my daughter is 18 years old and my son is 15, so I have first-hand experience and will be able to relate to your needs and concerns as a parent. At my daycare, I provide a family-oriented, clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Like my own two kids, I give the same amount of loving and nurturing care to all the children in my care :) I have 13 years of professional experience with CPR & First-aid certifications, and I hope this will reassure you that your little one is in capable hands. I can also administer medication to all kids in my care since I'm M.A.T trained. I've worked in several licensed child care facilities in Virginia before opening my own daycare in Germantown, MD. I have experience working with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, all the way to school-age kids, up to 6 years old. I really love working with children and families, so I've decided to turn my passion into my career!

Gunners Lake Playhouse is open all throughout the year from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays. I can provide full-time and part-time care for infants, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. All kids attending my program are served with morning and afternoon snacks (included in the tuition). I also accept families with government subsidies/vouchers. For school-age kids up to 12 years old, I can offer before and after school care. There are 2 schools located near my home: S. Christa McAuliffe Elementary School, which is a 4 minutes drive away only, and Roberto Clemente, which is conveniently located right behind my house. My child care facility is very accessible to all commuters since I'm near various bus stops. To prevent the kids from getting sick, I clean every day, in between lunch, and diaper changes. I also deep clean my space every Friday.

My goal is to create a learning environment where every child feels loved and safe in a space where they can have fun, play, learn, and grow. I will support each family by providing their kids with the best care and meeting all of their developmental needs. I follow the Play-based learning approach that allows children to learn through play and educational activities like arts & crafts, music, circle time, learning the weather, the days of the week, shapes, and colors, and outdoor play if the weather permits. In addition to English, I can also teach your child the Spanish language and Urdu (my native language). My daycare features a fun and convenient fenced backyard playground where we spend our outdoor playtime.
