Ritcheys Totlot was founded in 2003 by Kim Ritchey. She has her Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, grades K-8 and is currently finishing her degree in Early Childhood Education. She started her business as an in home daycare provider of 8 children and has grown to a center caring for 75 children per day with 15 teachers. We believe in using an active learning process which allows our children to learn through play by being decision makers and problem solvers. Our teachers are there to facilitate the activities of the room, love and nurture our children. We believe in making learning so much fun that the children don't even realize they are learning. We want children to feel safe and confident knowing they are going to have a fun day. We want you, as parents, to know your child is learning through play using hands on activities while getting all the love and encouragement they need to grow. Ritchey's Totlot Child Care Center is a year-round center in Hagerstown, MD. We are open from 6:30am until 6:00pm and care for children as young as 6 weeks through 12 years old, including children with special needs. We offer preschool, as well as, both full time and part time child care. We also have summer camp, as well as before and after school care for children up to 12 years old. If needed, transportation can be arranged. We provide meals and offer a peanut and tree-nut free environment. We are a faith-based program. At a minimum, our teachers have an Associate's degree.
