Welcome to Discovery Square Kids Playhouse, our licensed home daycare and preschool in Herndon, VA. We’re nestled in the Discovery Square neighborhood, near Carson Middle School and Dulles Airport, between 2 major roads: Centreville Rd (route 657) and Sully Rd (route 28). Your commute to work will be very convenient since we’re approximately 5 minutes away from Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy (US-50) and have easy access to the Dulles Toll Rd (267). Like you, I’m a parent, a mom of 4 children so I can certainly relate to your challenges when it comes to finding the best child care and early education program for your little one. I used to work as an assistant manager at a bank for about 7 years but when I gave birth to my children, I decided to resign and leave the corporate world behind. My own children kept me busy and being at home with them was a wonderful experience, so I decided to open a child care facility to help other parents! At my daycare, we provide quality care in a safe and nurturing environment. My assistant and I are professional caregivers with CPR & First-aid certifications. I’ve been a daycare provider for 8 years, and I can administer medication to all kids in my care since I’m M.A.T trained. I also hold an Associate’s Degree in Education and Child Development Associate's Degree. My goal is to make this a second home for your child, filled with happiness, love, health, and safety!

Discovery Square Kids Playhouse is open all throughout the year from 7:45 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. However, we can offer weekend care on Saturdays and Sundays (please call or email to ask about additional tuition for weekend care.) We can accommodate full-time and part-time care, as well as drop-in care for children between the ages of 3 months and 12 years old. Peanut and tree-nut free lunch and snacks are served to all kids attending our program (meals are already included in the tuition).

Children in my class learn through play and fun educational activities. I offer a curriculum that supports Physical and Social/Emotional development, and we work on Literacy, Mathematics, English, Science, Social Studies, and Cognition. I have different types of toys and equipment for kids to use and play with. They are provided with a mini-library to read books, we have a mini art area to draw, paint, and color. Kids can play with materials like sand and water, blocks, puzzles, bean bags, and many more things including daily outdoor play. We can also teach children the Hindi and Urdu languages in addition to English upon your request (we’re not a bilingual or full immersion program, but this is a wonderful opportunity for your child to become bilingual at a young age).
