Welcome to George E. Peters Adventist School (GE Peters) — The Christian School That Makes a Difference! George E. Peters Adventist School was established to provide Christian education for the members of its constituent churches and the surrounding community. Admission is open to all students, regardless of race, ethnic background or religious affiliation, and they are expected to adhere to the philosophy, objectives and standards of George E. Peters Adventist school. GE Peters is a PreK-8th Grade co-educational Christian school located in Hyattsville, Maryland, the quiet suburbs of Washington, DC. Our staff is committed to providing quality education in a safe, Christ-centered learning environment. It is a part of the worldwide Adventist school network. The Adventist educational system includes elementary and high schools, colleges and universities in countries around the world. At GE Peters, we believe that children are the highest priority, all children can learn when we have high expectations, and an inviting school climate translates into a positive learning environment. Our school faculty and staff are dedicated to the students and to individual professional growth and development. The administration sets the tone for the entire school by exhibiting leadership academically and spiritually, employing and supporting best practices, and modeling all values of their philosophy. We believe that parents and community must be involved in students' learning. Curricular and co-curricular activities must be designed to achieve a positive climate and to lead all stakeholders to feel a sense of belonging to the school. The students' academic achievement occur through a climate of mutual respect and sensitivity among all stakeholders, including students, parents, community members, teachers, administrators, board members, church members and the entire staff. It is our goal to become the best school with the best students, the best parents, and the best teachers! Admission priority is given to students of the constituent churches. The prospective student must complete an application form and two principal/teacher recommendations, which will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee. The applicant can be tested and interviewed to determine placement or final acceptance. Application forms are below or can be picked up when visiting the school for more information.
