Sunshine Family Child Care is a year-round home-based daycare in Laurel, MD. Our family child care program is run by Neelam Shahbaz who has 8 years of child care experience and has a Bachelor's degree. We are open from 7:00am until 5:30pm and care for children as young as 8 weeks through 5 years old. We offer preschool, as well as, both full time and part time child care, including drop in care. We also have before and after school care for children up to 5 years old. We provide meals and offer a peanut and tree-nut free environment. We use a play based curriculum. Ms. Neelam is very caring and patient with the kids. When my son was having a harf time, she asked what worked at home to see if it would help at daycare. She works with you and your child so they have a great experience. I highly recommend her!

Ms. Neelam and her assistant love the kiddos at her home daycare! My baby came home so happy everyday. We started going there during the height of the pandemic which was such a stressful time, but thanks to the care given, my baby never felt the stress of what was going on in the world. This is my second time around with Sunshine Family Childcare. My oldest daughter now 6 attended Sunshine Family daycare when she was 3 months old till age 2. My youngest daughter joined in 2021 till end of September 2022. This daycare I fully trust and I can go to work with my mind at ease. They’ve both learned so much during their time at daycare. Neelam and her staff has been nice, helpful and understanding since I started taking my son Jeremiah to her daycare. Neelam daycare is clean and they are attentive, pay attention to detail and care for your child the way you will take care of your child at home. I highly recommend Neelam Daycare to any parent and trust that they will do a great job with your child.

Mrs. Shahbaz is an excellent care giver and was available right when I needed her the most. She was welcoming to my daughter and has a very clean and well kept facility for the children. I am not able to rate higher on the curriculum because my daughter was more of a drop in situation. I would recommend this child care to other families in the area.
