About Me:
Hi there! I’m the proud owner and lead caregiver at Wellington Children’s Place. With over 15 years of hands-on experience in child care and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, I bring both expertise and passion to my work. I’m also certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration (MAT), ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for every child. As a mother of three, I understand firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your little ones. That peace of mind inspired me to open my own licensed daycare, built on compassion, reliability, and genuine care. Working with children brings me so much joy! I love watching them discover the world, develop new skills, and grow into confident, creative individuals. My goal is not just to care for children, but to build meaningful, trusting relationships with families, creating a strong foundation for each child’s success.
Philosophy:
At Wellington Children’s Place, we believe every child is wonderfully unique, and our approach reflects that. We take the time to nurture each child’s personality, interests, and developmental needs while respecting family values and routines. Parents’ voices matter here, and we work closely with them to ensure consistency and support both at home and in our program. Our mission is to create more than just a daycare. We want to provide a warm, home-like environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and excited to learn. Every child deserves a space where they can play freely, explore their curiosity, and build meaningful connections. That’s why we’re not only a child care program, but also a community for families in Laurel.
Curriculum:
Our curriculum nurtures every aspect of your child’s growth by combining play, creativity, and purposeful learning. We integrate the Play-Based Curriculum, which encourages hands-on exploration and problem-solving, sparking natural curiosity and a love for learning. The Mother Goose Curriculum adds fun through songs, stories, and rhymes that build early literacy and language skills. Our Mommy and Me Curriculum creates special opportunities for children and their caregivers to bond through interactive activities that promote social and emotional well-being. Each day includes creative expression with art, crafts, music, movement, and dance. All these activities strengthen motor skills while fueling imagination. We also place a strong emphasis on social and emotional development, helping children build communication, empathy, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Our ultimate goal is to guide children into becoming confident, kind, and capable individuals, ready for each new stage of learning with joy and curiosity. ✨ We’d love to welcome your family to our community! Contact us through CareLuLu to schedule a tour at Wellington Children’s Place in Laurel, MD.

My daughter has been under this childcare for the past 3 years and there is absolutely no place I’d rather for her to be. The atmosphere is loving and family- oriented, allowing each of the kiddos to grow and thrive together. The caregiver follows the school’s curriculum, which I greatly appreciate! Best of all, they feed our children nutritious food and provide additional one-on-one support as needed.

I have entrusted my kids with daycare for four years now, their services are topnotch. The love and care my kids receives daily is the reason I can take them there and be confident to walk out. The curriculum is specially prepared for the kids at their levels. I highly recommend them to any parents looking for a professional yet lovely daycare for their kid.

This was a safe and good day care center for us. It was a family oriented childcare center that was focused on age-appropriate activities, loving and clean environment. My child was nurtured in this environment for 4 years and we are happy with the care we received. My little boy is a happy kindergartener, thanks to this day care center for helping to get him ready. I encourage other parents to bring their children here for care.
