At the Educare Center school in Long Beach Unified School District, we prepare children for success in school and life and help parents develop skills to champion their child’s education. We provide a no-cost, high-quality early learning program to eligible families with children ages three months through five years. The Educare model is based on research from early childhood development, education, social work and other allied fields. Four core features compose the Educare model: data utilization, embedded professional development, high-quality teaching practices, and intensive family engagement. These core features implemented with strong leadership develop a culture for high-quality early childhood education and family support services that serve all of Long Beach.
