About Me:
Hi, parents! Thanks for your interest in Gunston Corner Children's Place, my home daycare in Lorton VA. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 17 years of child care experience. My passion and love towards children are the reason why I decided to open my own daycare. I enjoy being with them, especially babies, they are so sweet and cuddly. I’m also a mother of 3 grown up kids and I’m CPR & first-aid certified, so you can be sure that your little one is in good hands and safe at all times!
Program:
My child care program is open from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers (between the ages of 4 weeks and 3 years old). I’m part of the USDA Food Program, and I serve lunch and snacks to all children in my care. Due to possible allergies, I run a peanut and tree-nut free environment.
Curriculum:
I follow the Play-based learning philosophy, allowing my little students to have fun and learn through play. I also have a preschool curriculum for preschoolers, to help them get ready for kindergarten. I teach shapes, the alphabet, numbers, rhymes, etc.
I also offer extracurricular activities (Arts & Crafts) and if weather permits, I take children out to the community park. In addition to English, I speak Hindi/Urdu and Punjabi and at your request, I can expose your child to these foreign languages (however, please note that my daycare is not a bilingual program).

Gunston Corner Children's Place is located in the Gunston Corner community of Lorton, VA. My home is off Silverbrook Rd (route 600) and Lorton Rd (route 642), just a minute away from the I-95, so your commute will be convenient. This is a fantastic daycare that created a comfortable space for our son (he was 3 then) when we were new in town. She helped our family with our little guy while we waited for his first day of school. She was very dedicated, had fun activities, and communicated well with us. We sincerely recommend this daycare to anyone looking for a daycare center that genuinely cares about their little one's well-being.

This provider has made our transition back to work much smoother than anticipated. Our little one has been going to her since she was 3 months old. As first time parents we were very concerned with finding the right care giver to look after our baby and the provider has been more than wonderful! This provider is such a wonderful caretaker. I felt she went above and beyond to take great care of my baby niece. Her home daycare is beautifully decorated, clean, and organized. I would highly recommend her services to anyone in need.

This daycare is a home away from home for our son. He has been at this facility almost 2 years and there is no one we trust more than her. He is always so happy to see her and she takes the best care of him! She communicates well with parents, is flexible and understanding, kind, and patient with the children. We plan on keeping our son at this place until he is ready for elementary school.

I love the dedicated attend this provider provides for my child. I feel that my child is completely safe in her care. There is no clear cut curriculum but I think the free play is what the kids need in the early ages anyway. I feel that her care is similar to leaving your child with a grandparent. We had our 3 year old son attend this daycare and it was not only the best in the area, but best experience we have had with childcare thus far between our two kids. Our son learned so much in the short month he was in her care. Her and her husband were extremely friendly, welcoming, and treated our boy like he was their own. This is definitely a top-rate care location.

The best, most caring daycare my son has ever gone to! The provider treated my son like family and he was extremely well cared for from 6weeks old to 1 and half year! We still miss this provider and would highly recommend her to any mother who wants their child in good hands.

I had my daughter at this day care since she was 3 month until she turned 3. She was always happy and she was like the kid in the house. She learned her Abc, colors and was counting up to 10. She was safe all the time and the provider was always keeping informed if she noticed something wrong with our daughter. We also had our son with her but we had to leave due to relocation. I will recommend her service to any mother. She kept me worried free.
