Welcome to Frontiers Learning Center, a licensed child care center and preschool located in the heart of Manassas, VA. We are conveniently close to Nokesville Rd (VA-28), Wellington Rd, the Manassas train station, the Church St & Center St bus stop, and Jennie Dean Elementary School. Whether you commute for work or run daily errands, drop-off and pick-up are quick and easy for busy families in the Manassas area.

Programs & Ages Served

Frontiers Learning Center offers a Spanish bilingual daycare and preschool program with both full-time and part-time care, Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We welcome infants starting at 6 weeks, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children (up to 12 years old) for before- and after-school care.

Our program is designed to support working families who want reliable, high-quality child care in Manassas while giving their children a strong foundation for lifelong learning. We proudly serve children of all abilities, including those with developmental differences, in an inclusive and supportive environment where every child is respected and encouraged to grow.

All meals are included in tuition and prepared in a peanut-free and tree-nut-free kitchen, helping keep children with food allergies safe.

Meet Our Founder

Hello Parents! I’m Dr. Asim Yousafzai, founder and CEO of Frontiers Learning Center. I hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Geology and currently lead a Change Project focused on advancing early childhood education in Virginia.

Frontiers was created with one clear goal: to provide children with loving, dependable care in a learning environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and independence. My background in science and education shaped a school where children are seen as capable learners and families feel truly connected to their child’s daily experience.

Meet Our Director

Ms. Lasha Parker leads Frontiers Learning Center with more than 13 years of experience in early childhood education. She has worked as a teacher, educational support specialist, assistant director, and director across public schools, Montessori programs, and nonprofit organizations.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Nonprofit Leadership. Her warm, thoughtful leadership helps ensure every child receives nurturing care and meaningful learning every day.

Our Philosophy

At Frontiers Learning Center, we believe early childhood is a time of remarkable growth. We celebrate the small and big moments alike: when a child builds confidence, learns to solve a problem, makes a new friend, or proudly masters a new skill.

We also believe strong partnerships with families are essential. Through open communication and trust, we work closely with parents to support each child’s development and create a positive, lasting impact for the whole family.

Curriculum & Daily Learning

Our program is guided by the STREAMin3 curriculum from the University of Virginia, combining academic foundations with joyful, hands-on exploration.

Our center features a secure, fenced campus with a playground, backyard and outdoor play areas including a trellis garden, along with thoughtfully designed indoor spaces such as a multipurpose room, library, separate nap room, live fish tank, and a child-friendly weather station, all monitored by video cameras for added safety.

Each day includes:

Children participate in small-group and individualized activities that support their interests and learning style. Daily routines such as meal preparation and clean-up help build independence and responsibility. For peace of mind, all staff members are CPR certified, and safety is always a top priority.
