Themed lessons are planned around the children’s interest. Activities include dramatic play, indoor/outdoor play, topics in language arts, science, math, art etc. and much more. All lessons are hands on making the curriculum interesting and fun. The facility an intimate home based daycare/preschool. The environment is set up using the Developmentally Appropriate Practices as for the lessons. The space has a warm and rich home feeling with children’s tables and furniture to fit young children. The outdoor space is spacious, perfect for group games and to explore the many things nature has to offer year round. In addition there a many outdoor materials for children to engage in when not interacting directly with the caregiver. Lastly, there is a wonderful community park just a walk away. Teacher: I have 11 years and counting strong, of experience working with young children. This job is very special to me because I’m doing what I love and that’s helping young children grow and develop through all aspects. I started my career as an Aide and moved my way up to a Director position. After having my daughter, I saw an opportunity to leave behind the stressors from working in Daycare and opened up my own home daycare/preschool. The children I’ve worked with have all shown a great change in positive behavior and personal growth that if gives me even more reason to stay on this path and work harder to reach more children. I am also CPR & 1st Aid certified along with EMAT.
