Pheasant Run Kids Playhouse, Gaithersburg

Pheasant Run Kids Playhouse is a friendly home daycare and preschool in located in the Pheasant Run neighborhood of Gaithersburg, MD. The child care facility is right off Clopper Road (route 117) and Quince Orchard Rd (route 124), within easy access of the I-270. They strive to offer safe, affordable, high-quality child care and early childhood education in an intimate environment.

The owner and main caregiver is a licensed child care provider with 10 years of experience in early care and education. She holds an Associate's Degree in General Studies and is CPR & First-aid certified. She can also administer medication to all children in her care since she’s a MAT trained. As a mother of 6 children, she had lots of hands-on training and personal experience with children. She loves working with children and treats them as if they were her own.

The owner's goal is to build truthful and honest relationships with parents to help them teach and care for their child. She believes that each child has unique potential and attributes that can be enhanced within a dynamic learning and nurturing environment. She respects and supports each child's emotional needs, individual learning styles, and personal development level.

This daycare follows the Play-based learning approach. The curriculum is designed to promote each child's cognitive, socio-emotional and physical development through play. It also encourages to seek answers to questions, develop problem-solving skills and think creatively by providing activities in a safe and nurturing environment. Upon request, the provider can teach your child the Urdu and Hindi languages in addition to English (however, please note that her daycare is not a bilingual preschool).

The facility has lots of natural light with a great variety of age-appropriate toys. There is a large backyard with a very big sand area which is perfect for children's outdoor activities. There's also a small fenced garden outside, and the teacher uses the plants to teach her students about the seeds.

This daycare operates in 2 shifts Monday through Friday: the day-time shift is 7:00am-5:30pm and evening care is available 5:30pm-midnight. They offer various flexible options to accommodate your child care needs, including part time evening infant care after 5:30pm. They can provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 2 weeks, as well as toddlers through preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs. Drop-in care is an option for your occasional child care needs. All kids attending the program are served with breakfast, lunch, and snacks (these are all included in the tuition!). Before and after school care are both available for school-age kids, up to 12 years old (the facility is near Brown Station Elementary School and Diamond Elementary School).
