Daiane Fernandes Learning Inclusive Day Care aims to support the individual strengths and needs of each child. All children are welcome, supported, and valued, which allows them to participate meaningfully in all aspects of the child care program. Our mission is to prepare children to become independent and confident by creating a playful, inclusive and nurturing early childhood educational environment. In planning activities, we will follow the Early Childhood Education Curriculum Framework, which follows a play- based learning philosophy. We are constantly developing our activities centers for stories, songs, math, fine and gross motor skills, circle time, science, music, theater and arts/crafts. We strive to prepare your children for their early school years by exposing them regularly to letters, numbers, colors, shapes, name recognition, and vocabulary. Mrs. Fernandes received her Master of Education in Special Education from The George Mason University. Mrs. Fernandes has over 20 years of professional experience in Education. Her extensive work experience includes: being the Lead Teacher at Bright Horizons, the Owner and Provider of a Family Child Care in Ashburn, Virginia and the last five years she worked as a Special Education teacher at Loudoun County Public Schools. Mrs. Fernandes is also a certified yoga teacher, and has been successful in including breathing and relaxation exercises in her classroom’s daily routine to improve student’s concentration and interaction with peers. Mrs. Fernandes received the SEAC 2020 Award of Recognition of Excellence in supporting special education while working at Loudoun County Public Schools.
