At LPK, we recognize that all children are busy, bright, and eager to learn - all characteristics that we will capitalize upon in our preschool classroom. Just as their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growths are intertwined, so are the curricular areas of our class: Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Physical Education. Because different people, regardless of age, learn in different ways, our approach to learning is as creative and flexible as possible. We will encourage your children to grow, explore, and make choices in order to foster their emerging independence and establish a love of learning. Our staff includes: -One teacher -One assistant teacher -Our teaching qualifications include: -A minimum of a bachelor's degree and early childhood certification -Extensive experience with early childhood education -Teaching experience in public elementary schools -A love of working with young children We are open from 9:00am until 2:30pm and care for children as young as 3 years through 5 years old, including children with special needs. We offer part time care. We provide snacks and offer a peanut and tree-nut free environment. Lisbon Pre-Kindergarten is a co-op program that requires parents' active involvement.
