Henry Street Settlement After School Program, New York

After-School at 301 Henry Street is a fee-based program for families who require a more individualized after-school schedule or are on a waiting list for another program. The program is much like our other elementary after-school sites, and provides free pick-up services from local elementary schools, including P.S. 137, P.S. 134, P.S. 110, N.E.S.T., P.S. 140, P.S. 142 and Manhattan Charter School. Staff meet participants at these schools and escort them to 301 Henry Street. They receive a snack and homework assistance, as well as individual and group counseling, and participate in many of the same activities as the other after-school programs. This program participates in the same holiday events, special presentations, trips and other department-wide activities as other Henry Street after-school students. Services run from 3 to 6 p.m. The program is held during school half-days and holidays when requested by enough parents.
