Cashell Manor Playhouse in Olney, MD is a nurturing family child care and preschool program. Our daycare is located in the Cashell Manor neighborhood, near Cashell Rd Park and just 3 minutes’ away from the main road Georgia Ave (route 97). We’re also close to Muncaster Mill Rd (route115) / Hwy 115 and Olney Laytonsville Rd (route 108), so it's perfect for your daily commute to work!

As a parent myself, I know how difficult it is to leave your child to someone you barely know. I can relate to you when it comes to finding a trustworthy child care provider for your little one. I'm also CPR & First-aid certified and hold an Associate's in Accounting. At our daycare, we treat all children as if they were our own. We strive to create a safe learning environment for our kids where they can learn and feel loved. I run my daycare with my assistant, and she’s also a mom with 20 years of professional experience in child care and early education. Her experience is proof that she loves what she does and is passionate about children. Before opening my own daycare I was already involved in child care work, I’ve been doing volunteer work as a community teacher for 20 years. I also worked for another daycare for a few months, but I decided to open my own because I had also experienced the struggle of parents when it comes to finding the right fit for their child.

Cashell Manor Playhouse uses a Montessori-inspired curriculum with fun extra-curricular activities, such as dancing, singing, yoga, letters & numbers, and reading. Our daycare also offers age-appropriate learning materials and we have labeled stations around our space. Our infant curriculum focuses on sensory activities such as playing in the water and hand-eye coordination. For older children, we use “Hooked on Phonics” to improve their reading and language skills. We can also teach our students the Sinhalese language only upon parents' request (however, please note that we’re not a bilingual program).

Our daycare and preschool offers full-time care and accepts children between the age of 3 months and 5 years old. We provide breakfast, lunch, and 2 snacks, which are all included in the tuition. Our facility is a peanut and tree-nut free environment to prevent any possible allergies. We’re open all throughout the year from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. To prevent the spread of infectious disease, we sanitize tables, highchairs, and doorknobs in between activities. We also wash our hands and face every hour.
