Fun Square Early Learning Center, Potomac

Fun Square Early Learning Center is a licensed daycare and preschool in Potomac, MD, just off Travilah Road, with access to River Road (MD-190) and Glen Road. The program serves infants as young as 6 weeks through preschoolers up to age 5, with full-time and part-time child care available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Early drop-off is also available. The center accepts Child Care Scholarship (CCS) vouchers and participates in Maryland EXCELS with a Level 3 rating. Daily breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included in tuition, and the center maintains a peanut- and tree-nut-free environment. A summer camp program is also offered. The curriculum combines play-based learning, early intervention, and STEAM activities with structured learning and creative exploration. Daily activities include free play, circle time, story time, arts and crafts, and hands-on learning focused on early literacy, social skills, and creativity. Children also participate in Spanish and Mandarin language lessons and weekly yoga. Preschool and Pre-K activities emphasize pre-reading, pre-math, and social development skills, while one-on-one early intervention therapy is available for children who need additional support. The center also offers field trips and works with families and professionals to support children’s development. Shahin Lotfabadi is the owner and director and has more than 19 years of experience in early childhood care, along with Master’s degrees in Early Childhood Development and Behavioral Analysis. Mr. Lotfabadi is also a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and is CPR, First Aid, and MAT certified.
