Parents, About me: Ms. Arlene I have been doing Child Care for 33 years, and I enjoy every moment knowing how I am a part of their beginnings. I know it is difficult to make the decision where and who your child is going to be left with so I would like to set your mind at ease. This is a loving home environment with the benefits of creative learning. I have 2 children of my own. My son who is a United States Marine, and a daughter who is a Teacher with Montgomery County Schools. I could not be more proud. Curriculum: I encourage creative play, physical activity, hands on exploration, outdoor activities (weather permitting), social interaction and other developmentally appropriate learning activities. I prepare the children for Kindergarten by teaching them colors, numbers, shapes, letters/alphabet and the importance of sharing. We have reading time, arts and crafts, and free play. I potty train and teach the importance of hygiene (washing hands) and most importantly, manners(pleases and thank you) and kindness.
