About Me:

I'm the owner and main child care provider here, with 13 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in education. I was also a school teacher for 7 years, and I've always had a passion for working with children. I love to see kids growing up with me and find fulfillment in helping them learn.

As a mother of two, I understand the importance of a safe and stimulating environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. My commitment extends beyond providing quality child care; I strive to support families, fostering a strong partnership for your child's growth.

Mission and Philosophy:

My mission is to offer a secure and nurturing space that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of every child entrusted to me. I believe in a child-centered, play-based curriculum, while also using elements of the Montessori Method to create a well-rounded learning environment.

At my daycare, I prioritize children's individual learning paces and preferences. With my strong background in education, I know how to make adjustments in my teaching style to cater to each child's individual needs. My goal is to nurture your child's natural curiosity and passion for lifelong learning!

Facilities and Location:

My family child care program is operated in a single-family house that offers a dedicated child care space on the ground level. I have a spacious backyard as well, to ensure children can play outside. Located near Lakewood Country Club and Lakewood Elementary School, my home daycare offers easy access to the I-270, W Montgomery Rd (Route 28), Darnestown Rd, and Shady Grove Rd (I’m near the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center and Johns Hopkins University - Montgomery County).

Program:

My hours of operation are from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Lakewood Little Children's Academy welcomes children aged 4 weeks to 5 years. I provide both full-time and part-time care, as well as a preschool program, to accommodate diverse family needs.

I offer nutritious meals including breakfast, lunch, and snacks, all peanut-free and tree nut-free to ensure children with allergies are safe (and those are already included in the tuition!) While English is the primary language spoken, I am also fluent in Farsi. Though not a bilingual daycare, I’m happy to introduce a foreign language and culture to your child, if you so choose.
