Welcome to Woodley Gardens Kids Playhouse, our licensed home-based daycare and preschool in Rockville, MD. Our child care facility is located in the Woodley Gardens neighborhood, right off Nelson St and near Woodley Gardens Park. Your daily commute will be convenient since we're near Washington National Pike (I-270), W Montgomery Ave (route 28), and Hungerford Dr (route 355).
Curriculum
Woodley Gardens Kids Playhouse follows the Play-based teaching philosophy and uses elements of the Creative Curriculum and a cognitive-based early learning program. This helps our young students to learn new skills and develop physical, intellectual, cognitive, and socio-emotional skills.
Your little one will enjoy many individual and group/team activities such as music, shapes, puzzles, coloring, etc., which is a good way to build confidence and grow their social interaction skills. In addition to English, we can also teach your child the Hindi language (however, please note that our daycare is not a bilingual program.)
About Us
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this family child care and preschool program. I have 15 years of professional experience and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. I run my daycare with my full-time assistant who has 11 years of experience and a Bachelors in Economics & Political Science. My staff and I are CPR & First-aid certified, so you can be sure that your child is safe and secure at all times.
Philosophy
Our daycare is your baby's home away from home and we focus first and foremost on children’s health and happiness. Our goal is for your little one to reach his/her full potential and develop all valuable skills. We also want them to feel safe and secure while learning and having fun at the same time. We strive to provide a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn and grow.
Program
Our home daycare can provide full-time and part time care for newborn babies, toddlers, and preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs. We’re open all throughout the year between 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, Mondays through Fridays.
Due to possible allergies, we only serve peanut and tree-nut free lunch and snacks (both included in the tuition). To prevent the spread of the virus and bacteria, we sanitize high chairs and tables after meals and other surfaces. We use soap and water to wash hands and disinfect toys at the end of the day.

This is a WONDERFUL daycare! My son loved it here and it felt like dropping him off at a family member’s house (but with more structure and friends). Seeing how much he enjoyed his time there made my transition back to work much easier. The caregiver is very caring, responsible and is highly experienced. She took care of first born. Since I was new mother, I was very anxious. She didn’t only take care of my daughter, she put me at ease as well. I highly recommend her.

This place is AMAZING. The owner is a kind and compassionate care provider and we have seen her positive impact on our son tremendously. They encourage a learning environment and care deeply about the kids. I highly recommend her and our younger children will also be in attendance when they are old enough!

i can’t be more happier with the care and love that this daycare provides to my little one. My baby is constantly learning and always happy to see his teachers and friends at the daycare. They have been really great with my kid and I can tell how much they enjoy taking care of my kid. This place is very warm and loving and as soon as I toured this place in the beginning i knew exactly this place would be awesome. i highly recommend this place

This was a great option for us first-time parents. Drop-offs are made easier when we see the special bond that our daughter has developed with the providers. We appreciate knowing that our daughter is well taken care of and is given opportunities to play, explore and spend time outside. Our daughter also LOVES the food!

Our son loves going to daycare every. Single. Day. He sometimes does not want to leave (especially when they are outside)! I know he is in good hands from the time I drop him off to when I pick him. The caregiver is wonderful at keeping the rooms (and children) clean, providing a safe and fun atmosphere, and always putting play first!!

This provider and her family have been loving and keen to our daughter. The space is very clean, bright and have lots toys and activities for kids. They have an outdoor playing space as well . My daughter loved the fresh homemade meals they served. They are kind and flexible with timing. We have been very happy with our experience.

Both of my kids stayed at this daycare from 3 months old to about 2 years old. As a matter of fact, my 18 month old is still there. I cannot say enough about the owners. This is a great home daycare service. The home is clean and sequestered in a safe neighborhood. My son started to go there since he was five week old. Now he is six and half and still remembers his teacher. The staff especially the provider was so kind and gentle and my son received so much love. The provider was always positive, encouraging and patient.
