This is a safe, reliable, honest & loving family oriented environment where children are encouraged to be children! Family child care offers a home away from home and provides children with friends of all ages to play with and learn from. We've had criminal background checks, certifications and ongoing training in early childhood development, SIDS, emergency preparedness, and Infant & Adult CPR and First Aid. Age appropriate, mentally stimulating, educational activities such as: - Imaginative play/role play - Arts and crafts - Music and dance - Reading time and more Also assist with: - Kindergarten preparation - Verbal communication/expressing thoughts and emotions - Promoting the use of good manners and hygiene - Potty training, etc. In addition, I am a CACFP (Child & Adult Care Food Program) provider, a Federal program that ensures children are receiving healthy meals & snacks. Monthly menus are submitted & must be approved before serving. Menus are monitored by MCPS, Division of Food and Nutrition Services. I take classes and attend seminars concerning nutrition. Rest assured your child will receive healthy, well balanced, home cooked meals. I love to cook, and the children enjoy helping when appropriate. We also have the most adorable, loving dog ever! The children love him & he loves them right back (｡♥‿♥｡) He is very well trained, both personally & professionally.
