The philosophy of Preschool on the Hill is to involve the child in a structured learning experience. Each child is a unique individual with the potential to grow and develop physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually at his or her own level and pace. To achieve this objective, the school provides a stimulating program of knowledge, through hands-on experience, in a Christian environment. PURPOSE Our goal is to provide a warm and caring environment in a quality program where children can acquire the academic and social skills necessary for total growth. In addition, it is an outreach of Christian love and service to the families and children of the community. To help children have the necessary confidence to feel comfortable in their environment. To expose children to many different subject matters that will allow for full development cognitively, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. To teach children to manage themselves, their materials and their daily routine. To facilitate physical growth through providing adequate space, the necessary equipment and the freedom of movement. To protect children from health and safety hazards. To help children find comfortable and contributing places in the group. To encourage children to take initiative in planning and doing things. To expose children about God and His love for them in a Christian setting that is full of love and concern.
