Philosophy Statement My program helps children learn and develop by treating each child as an individual and teaching the whole child according to the ECIPs (Early Childhood Indicators of Progress). My number one goal is to make learning FUN for the children in my program as I provide them with the necessary skills they need to be successful not only in school, but throughout their life. Hi, my name is Tammy & I've been doing licensed daycare for 27 years. I'm located on the East Side of St. Paul off of Hwy 94 & White Bear Ave or Hwy 61 & Burns Ave Near Downtown St. Paul. My hours of operation are from 6:30 am to 5:30 pm (Monday Friday). I have completed all the necessary training CPR & First Aid, SUIDS/Abusive Head Trauma, Child Behavior Guidance & Child Health & Safety among other classes. I'm required to complete 16 hours of education each year, however I usually manage to completes an additional 25 to 40 more hours of Child Development education classes each year. My program participates in the Providers Choice Food Program, so there is no need to worry that your child is not eating nutritious meals. My family childcare preschool program is focused on Kindergarten Readiness using lots of FUN activities to teach the children in my care. My program uses "The Creative Curriculum", restructuring my lesson plans to teach the whole child according to the ECIPs. Observations & Assessments are done on ALL children several times a year. These observations & assessments are used to help the teachers/parents know the areas in which a child excels in & areas they may needs help in. My preschool program received its Parent Aware 4 Star Rating (The Highest Rating) in 06/2016 and is still currently rated Parent Aware 4 Star today 04/03/2023. The children in my program learn through activities like: Story Time, Educational Games & Activities based on the ECIP'S, FREE PLAY, Outside Play, Small & Large Group Activities which consist of things like, but not limited to Arts & Crafts, Numbers, Letters, Shapes, Colors, Patterns, Rhyming and lots more. The children in my program do NOT even know they are learning with all the activities we do daily. All they know is they are having lots of FUN every day they are here. I can honestly say my program is equipped to provide the necessary skills your child/children need for a successful future. I have a fenced in play area which as been totally renovated with ALL new equipment the summer of 2022. Our children LOVE the new playground. In fact, our children call our new playground "The Park". My program is a smoke FREE environment & we do accept Child Care Assistance.
