Welcome to John and Kitty Becker Day Care, in Silver Spring, our high-quality child care and preschool program! Our facility is conveniently located for your commute to work since we have easy access to Georgia Ave (route 97), Connecticut Ave (route 185), University Blvd W (route 193), and the I-495. About Us: Im Kitty Becker, the owner and main caregiver and I have 21 years of professional experience. I run the daycare with John, my assistant and husband who has 23 years of experience and we both hold Early Childhood Development degrees. Were also CPR & First-aid certified, so children are always safe in our care. Our goal is to provide nurturing child care and top quality early education in an intimate environment. At our daycare, we prepare each child to succeed in kindergarten! Curriculum: Becker Day Care follows the Play-based teaching philosophy and puts emphasis on social, emotional, and cognitive development. We provide age-appropriate and fun learning materials and engage each student in educational activities such as music, arts & crafts, science experiments, puzzles, and much more. We strive to create an environment where children can learn, play, have fun, laugh and most importantly, make friends. We teach them to always be kind to and respect each other. We have a home library that is accessible to all kids. In addition to English, we can also teach your child the German language (our daycare is not a bilingual program, but this is a wonderful opportunity for your little one to learn a foreign language at a young age). Part of our program is outdoor activities and playtime. Children always enjoy playing and spending time in our fenced play area (were also near a community park and playground).
