Dear parents, I'm excited to welcome you to Sandy Ridge Kiddie Cove, our licensed child cafre and preschool facility nestled in the Rolling Stone neighborhood of Colesville in Silver Spring, MD. We're located just off Sandy Ridge Rd and Bonifant Rd, with easy access to major roads like the I-200 (Intercounty toll road) and New Hampshire Ave. I am a mom of three children with a bachelor's degree in public health and 5 years of experience in child care. I understand the importance of a nurturing, stimulating, and safe environment for kids. I worked as a public health officer in hospitals in the past, but my passion for children led me to opening my own licensed daycare. I run our daycare with my assistant who has 25 years of experience!

Sandy Ridge Kiddie Cove caters to infants aged 3 months and up, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. We offer both full-time and part-time child care and preschool programs from 7:30am - 5:00pm. Housed in a spacious single-family home, our daycare includes a well-equipped basement area dedicated to playful learning and development. We have a separate nap room ensuring peaceful and comfortable rest times. Our facility is filled with books, puzzles, and art materials to inspire creativity and learning. Our fenced backyard and deck create a fun outdoor play area that provides a perfect space for physical play and exploration in a secure environment. As a provider, I believe in the importance of outdoor activities for the overall well-being of children!

We embrace a play-based early learning approach to nurture young minds. Our day starts with reading sessions, where the children embark on adventures through stories. This not only enhances their language skills but also sparks their imagination. We then engage in educational activities such as puzzles, which are great for cognitive development and problem-solving skills. Arts and crafts also play a significant role in our daily schedule, allowing children to express themselves creatively while developing fine motor skills.
