Welcome to Town Center Educational Kids Playhouse, our licensed daycare and preschool program in Springfield, VA. We're located near the Springfield Town Center Shopping mall, within easy access to the I-95, Franconia-Springfield Pkwy (route 289) and Franconia Rd (route 644). Perfect for your daily commute!
Program & Curriculum
Lessons are planned to enhance cognitive, creative and physical development. We do our best to foster a warm and inviting learning environment, actively engaging the children in activities that facilitate learning to spell and write, emphasizing the importance of the day's learning activity. Our primary goal is ensuring children are not only prepared for school but also equipped with the skills to follow instructions.
We have group times that include something for all the children. We talk with the children and ask open-ended questions. We individualize our program for the children in our care and promote the social and emotional development of our children. We also make sure children are given time to play outside and we plan activities to take advantage of natural surroundings, such as talking about the weather.
Our Philosophy
At Town Center Educational Kids Playhouse, we make you, parents, and your children a part of our family. We nurture them, encourage them and support them. Our program exceeds health and safety standards and we have enhanced the child care environment.
We are affectionate and have supported special needs children, and we value cultural differences. We support children's social skills and use positive guidance. We are a Head Start provider and work with military and army families, accepting NACCRRA and GSA subsidies.
Facility & Safety
Our space is brightly decorated with vibrant wall colors and has a spacious open layout. We've dedicated separate areas for various activities including a designated nap room for infants and a large play and eating area. Within this space, there are plenty of engaging materials such as blocks, puzzles, and books alongside larger activity sets specifically designed for toddlers. To add to the happy atmosphere, we've decorated the walls with our comprehensive learning curriculum and added colorful foam mats.
Our COVID procedures prioritize cleanliness and hygiene. Throughout the day, we diligently sanitize tables and highchairs. During nap times, our focus shifts to thorough cleaning of the play and lunch areas, ensuring a clean and safe environment for your children.

This provider is a caring and sweet. she is always calm and patient. my son smiles every time I dropped him off. she loves kids and she is consistent in his care. I feel safe and comfortable taking my son to Sharmin at any given time. she is also flexible with schedule changes and always accommodating. I highly recommend her for any childcare needs.

I’ve entrusted this provider with caring for all three of my children since 2011. She is warm, caring, respectful and very diligent in the activities of her daycare. She takes great time to ensure the children develop in speaking, reading and writing. My oldest was reading at the tender age of four under Sharmin’s tutelage. I highly recommend her as a daycare provider and entrusting her with your little one.

Wonderful teachers and overall daycare! My son has delayed speech but learned to communicate with her help through repetition and her teachings. I absolutely LOVE this provider and her team. She has cared for our 3 children and I couldn't ask for a better environment for them. She gives pure love and that is reflected in the way the children interact with each other inside and outside of her care. This provider had my son since he was 6weeks. In the past year and half she's been apart of our family. My son loves her he runs to her in the morning. He's 17 months and he knows his abc's and can count to 10. I recommend her to anyone. She care for the kids as her own. This daycare owner and her assistants have done a wonderful job caring for my 2 children over the last 4 years. My kids are so excited to see her each morning and sad to say goodbye in the afternoon.
