Hi, my name is Andrea Brown and I am a home daycare provider in West Springfield. We are currently interviewing as we have an opportunity to provide child care in our loving & nurturing home called Great Beginnings! Great Beginnings believes that children develop best in a loving, nurturing environment where active learning is encouraged. We know that your child will develop at a pace which may be completely different from the child sitting next to him/her. Hence, we provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on a child-centered perspective that acknowledges your child as a whole: a social, cognitive, emotional, and physical individual. We create an environment which will motivate your child to discover and apply new skills. Children become active learners though play; we will observe your child and respond to inquiries and activities initiated by him/her. Great Beginnings follows a theme-oriented curriculum, with an emphasis on developmentally appropriate activities. Our goal is to offer all children individualized experiences that will help them develop socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically at their own rate! We believe that children learn best from each other. Therefore, we provide a relaxed, creative atmosphere in which children can foster new relationships with one another and explore a new environment and experiences. We also believe that children are individuals with diverse learning styles and emotional needs; at Great Beginnings, care and teaching is focused on the individual child.
