Laura’s Family Child Care is a year-round home-based daycare in Springfield, VA. Our family child care program is run by Laura Toledo De Mendoza who has 20 years of child care experience. We are open from 7:00am until 5:30pm and care for children as young as 1 month through 10 years old, including children with special needs. We offer preschool, as well as, both full time and part time child care. We also have before and after school care for children up to 10 years old. We provide meals and offer a peanut free environment. Laura’s Family Child Care is a Spanish immersion program. At a minimum, our teachers have a Child Development Associate degree. Both of my kids have been going to Ms. Laura’s since they were 3 months old. Ms. Laura has been an extension of our family and I honestly don’t know how I would have navigated being a first time mom without her caring and guidance. From helping to transition to solids to potty training to manners, Ms. Laura’s care has been a solid foundation for our family.

My husband and I are very pleased with this daycare. It was stressful choosing childcare for my baby, especially as she's my first and it's hard enough to separate from your child and trust a stranger! We love taking our little one to Laura's Family Child Care! He started going around 7 months, and has been there nearly a year. Señora Laura 's Family child Care is the best home daycare I have ever seen. She watched both of our children and I never had a single issue. I knew the environment was safe, loving, and ethical. Switching to Laura's Family Daycare has been the best decision our family has made for the heath and wellness of our 16 month old. Laura and staff take excellent care of our child. She treats him as one of her own. Her and her staff are very caring and always go the extra mile. We particularly value the smaller more intimate environment of home daycare. We would Highly recommed recommend Laura family daycare to anyone.

My daughter has been attending Mrs. Laura's Family Child Care for over 2 years. Mrs. Laura is wonderful with the kids andy daughter has learned so much in her time there. I have had numerous opportunities to move my daughter to a closer daycare, but I choose to drive 20 minutes each way to keep my daughter in Mrs. Laura's care.

This has been a nurturing environment for my son for the past four years. They were the first to identify symptoms of autism and suggest I get him tested. Because of their care and concern I was able to get help early, which is essential for kids on the spectrum. I'm thankful he is in such a great place.

Absolutely love this home daycare, Mrs.laura and her helpers are very nice, they love kids, they care for them, they teach them things, she's very into the lives of our children, she takes care of them like if they were her own. If she knows something is wrong she will call us immediately. She has the babies & older kids separate for safety reasons but all together in the same room so they don't feel left out.
