Nancy's Daycare Center is a year-round home-based daycare in Springfield, VA. Our family child care program is run by Nancy Nell who has 30 years of child care experience and has a Bachelor's degree. We are open from 5:30am until 7:00pm and care for children as young as 0 weeks through 12 years old. We offer preschool, as well as, both full time and part time child care. We also have before and after school care for children up to 12 years old. We provide meals and offer a peanut and tree-nut free environment. Nancy's Daycare Center is a Spanish immersion program. Our kids went to Nancy's for 5 years. They absolutely adore Nancy and her family still - at ages 9 and 11, they often ask to go back and visit. She taught them to read, write, and be respectful of others. Nancy was always available whenever we needed her... both my husband and I work rotating shifts in public safety, so her availability, flexibility, and professionalism is what we appreciated.

I have used Nancy’s daycare from the time my older son was 3 (he’s now 8). We are a military family and when I moved here from GA, I was a single mom with a complicated army physician schedule. Nancy’s daycare is wonderful. My daughter was there from 3 months old until 4 yrs. We are very happy how my daughter developed, she knew how to read at 5. Nancy would send me videos and she would get home with activities they worked on. she also made wonderful friends there whom we are still in touch with. My daughter at the age of 9 asks about Nancy and wants to visit her because she remembers her and has the best memories.

Kids spend all day at this facility and very little information is sent back home regarding their time spent there. Drawings/crafts or anything tangible is not sent home to track your kid's progress. This facility requires a 6 week notice that you wish to stop service. Our family gave a two week notice and was told our one week deposit is now forfeited. My boys have each been with Ms. Nancy since they were infants. She is very passionate and works hard to create age appropriate learning activities for all the children. She is quite accommodating with work schedules and understands special needs (my littlest wore a helmet for 9 months). I'm always impressed with what my boys have learned from their peers and Ms. Nancy as she strives to create an environment that challenges them.

My son Clifton was with Nancy from 3 months to age 11. We lived close and he was There for before and after school in elementary school. Her facility is awesome with the murals and tot bathrooms. She adequately prepared him for kindergarten. She doesn't just care for the kids, she loves them. She continues yo give him gifts. He speaks Spanish like a Latino.
