Hi, my name is Ulrike Dorsey, I am a State licensed Child Care Provider in Stafford,VA. I am with the USDA Food Program, which means that I will provide all your child's meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day. I am CPR/First Aid certified, also MAT certified. I've been state licensed for almost 5 years now and had my business over 15 years.
When everyone gets here in the morning I serve breakfast which differs from day to day, but I always serve milk and offer water.
After breakfast the kids wash hands. This is going to happen throughout the day after potty time and diaper changes I will do it for babies. Then we go downstairs to my daycare, where the kids get ready for their daily routine of fun and studies.
I teach my children the A, B, C, what letter comes after the letter L, and before the letter O, I teach my kids how to write, spell, and read. I teach my kids how to count from 1 to 100 by the time they are ready to go to kindergarten. colors, shapes. I teach my kids the time. We have block play, puzzle time, and dramatic play. I even have a 10 minute fun exercise for my kids most days. If weather permits, I like to take my kids to the playground have morning snack there and stay until lunch time.
After lunch all kids either get ready for nap or have quiet time. After that the kids have afternoon snack, than get ready to go home. All my meals and snacks are different each day; and I always serve milk and offer water throughout the day and with lunch as well. I do diaper changes throughout the day as well as potty time throughout the day.
The kids sleep on cots or mats. The babies sleep in cribs in a different section of my day care.
I am by myself usually. I only have a substitute when I have an appointment or my husband lends a helping hand in the afternoon. I have no registration fee. However, I have a late fee policy, and a check return policy. My hours of operation are from
5:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. I am closed on Federal Holidays and I take a 2 week summer vacation per year.

After about two years of my son being in Reka's care our relationship ended badly. We notice no curriculum was followed and he was now 2 years old. Also, Reka expected us to pick him up right after work regardless of her hours. Being a school counselor several things did not sit well with me towards the end and we pull our son out of this home care.

Loving caring home childcare. Ms. Dooley take VERY excellent care of our Mason:). Her home is very clean and organize and I don't worry about him during the day because I know that she has his best interest at heart. This is our first year and we will be coming back next year after the summer!
I am very picky when it comes to Home base care services and this one is a hit for us.

Rika is the best! I have dealt with many sitter's in the last 15 years. She is the ultimate and loves her kids dearly!

Two of my kids attend this daycare. Both have been there pretty much since birth and I could never imagine my kids anywhere else. Not only are they learning a lot, but Mrs. Dorsey loves and cares for them as if they were her own.
