Welcome to Oak Grove Little Schoolhouse, our home-based daycare and preschool in Sterling, VA. Our child care facility is located in the Oak Grove neighborhood of Sterling, near S Sterling Blvd (route 846), Sterling Rd (route 606), and Sully Rd (route 28).
About Us
I’m the owner and main caregiver of this loving and nurturing daycare and preschool program. I'm a professional child care provider with 30 years of experience and a Child Development Associate's degree. I run my daycare with my assistant who has 3 years of experience, and we are both CPR & First-aid certified.
Curriculum
Oak Grove Little Schoolhouse is open year-round from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. We follow the Play-based learning approach to develop our little students’ valuable skills. My walls are full of learning posters and I include blocks, letters, numbers, and shapes in my curriculum. We also have circle time and story reading every morning, followed by an arts and crafts activity.
In addition to English, we can teach them foreign languages (Hindi and Urdu upon parents' request); however, our daycare is not a language-immersion program.
Program
Our daycare offers flexible options to accommodate your child care needs such as full-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the ages of 1 week and 5 years old, including children with special needs.
Lunch and snacks are served to all kids enrolled full-time (already included in the tuition)! Drop-in care is offered to parents who are just looking for occasional needs. We can also accommodate before and after school care for school-age kids, up to 10 years old (our facility is close to Forest Grove Elementary School).
Safety
I'm sanitizing and wiping down surfaces and toys on an hourly schedule. Parents pick up and drop off their kids at the door, and any child who is exhibiting any symptoms of being sick has to return with a doctor's note.

The caregiver looked after my two kids well and they enjoyed being in her care. The kids played and were learning throughout the day. She also provided food for them while they were in her care. Thank you for the great service.

We are so pleased with the care our daughter receives with Mrs. C. She is always happy to go and in a good mood when we pick her up. Mrs. C. always communicates our daughters meals, sleep and toileting at pick up. We are so grateful to have her under the care of Mrs. C.!

My kiddo loves this provider and her home! He runs to the front door in the morning and doesn’t want to leave in the evening. He has been going to this provider since he was three-months old and he’s now two-years old. I fully trust the providers, her assistant. They love and care for my son like he is their own.

This provider is a great person.. Her warm and happy personality made me comfortable first time I went to meet her.. She is very good with baby and take great care of them.. I feel peace of mind when I drop my baby to her in the morning because I know my baby is going to be looked after well with doubts in mind.. If you are struggling on something with your baby and you talk to her she helps you come over the struggle..

I am so glad that I found this day care. Loved the care that she provided us for 4.5 years. Our kids loved the food and really thrived in a safe, nurturing environment. I recommend them highly to all my friends.
