Swansboro United Methodist Child Care is a licensed child care center in Swansboro, NC. We are open from 7:00am until 6:00pm and care for children as young as 6 weeks through 6 years old, including children with special needs. We offer preschool as well as full time child care. We provide meals. We participate in a subsidized child care program. We’re a Christian based center that has been in operation for over 30 years! We opened in the 1980’s and many of the staff members have been with the center for 15 years or more. Becky Dorris has been the director since 1985 and Vicki Babner has been the assistant director since 1992. They love children and know the families and the community well. Their teaching method uses guided play activities, creative art, music, outdoor play, conversation, story times, dramatic play and group activities in a Christian atmosphere.
