Ivy City Early Childhood Academy is a charming daycare and preschool in Washington, DC. Our child care facility is located in the Ivy City neighborhood, right off New York Ave NE (US-50). We also have easy access to major roads Bladensburg Rd NE (US-1) and Rhode Island Ave NE (US-1), perfect for your daily commute!

I’m the owner and director of this high-quality child care center and preschool. I’m a mom of 3, and I have 15 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology Development & Social Change. All my teachers are moms, too! Thus, we can easily relate to your child care needs and concerns. Our staff members have many years of experience in early education and each one of them has an Associate’s Degree. We’re a team of moms who want to help parents in the area by providing nurturing care and quality early education in a safe learning environment. We want our center to be the extension of your family!

Ivy City Early Childhood Academy uses the Creative Curriculum to meet the creative, social, and intellectual needs of the children. We engage our students in various educational activities to stimulate their curiosity, discover new things, and develop their basic sensory skills. We believe that each child is unique so we’re allowing them to learn at their own pace with the guidance of our teachers. For us, it is very important that we acknowledge this in a child's formative years. Our program is designed to help children develop their valuable skills while having fun. We also teach our kids Spanish and French in addition to English so this is a great opportunity for your child to become multilingual at a young age.

Our daycare center and preschool is open all throughout the year from 7:00 am to 6:00, Mondays to Fridays. We offer full-time care for infants as young as 6 weeks, as well as toddlers through preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs.
