Fort Totten Kids Playhouse offers a warm, nurturing Spanish immersion daycare program for children from infants as young as 3 months to preschoolers up to 5 years old. We proudly welcome children of all backgrounds, including those with special needs such as speech delays. Nutritious meals are included in tuition, prepared fresh daily in a peanut-free and tree-nut-free environment. We’re open year-round, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Our flexible child care options are thoughtfully crafted to support each family’s unique schedule, needs, and preferences. Hi parents! I’m the owner and primary caregiver of Fort Totten Kids Playhouse. I began my journey as a teacher, where I discovered a deep passion for early childhood education, a time when children start shaping how they see the world and develop the building blocks of who they’ll become. With over 19 years of experience in child care, my mission remains the same: to create a supportive, engaging environment where every child can thrive. Over the years, I’ve been honored to build close relationships with families in our community. For your peace of mind, I’m CPR and First Aid certified to ensure a safe space for every child.

At Fort Totten Kids Playhouse, we take our role in early childhood education to heart. We believe that creativity and play are powerful tools to nurture a child’s confidence, curiosity, and communication skills. Our goal is to lay the groundwork for a lifelong love of learning. Alongside a team of caring professionals, we focus on engaging activities, sensory exploration, and personalized support to help each child grow. Most importantly, we approach every new experience with warmth and joy, encouraging resilience and self-expression.

Our day begins early, as we prepare the space with intention: organizing materials, reviewing our plan, and getting ready to welcome the children and their families. Once children arrive, we start the day with a healthy breakfast and quick clean-up to refresh. Then we dive into developmental activities, from hands-on play to guided learning moments designed to spark each child’s growth. Weather permitting, we spend time outdoors on the playground, exploring nature and getting fresh air. Back inside, we transition to quiet reading or sensory play before lunch and rest. After a cozy nap, the afternoon wraps up with free play, a light snack, and time to reconnect before heading home. Every day is designed to be warm, structured, and enriching, while helping your child feel safe, confident, and inspired.
