Welcome to Manor Park Playhouse, our licensed in-home daycare and preschool in Washington, DC. We’re located in the Manor Park neighborhood, near the Capital City Public Charter School. Our child care facility is conveniently located right off Blair Rd NW and Kansas Ave NW, and has easy access to major roads such as New Hampshire Ave NE, Georgia Ave NW, and Carol St NW. Perfect for your daily commute to work!

About Us:
I’m the owner and main caregiver, and I have 9 years of professional experience in child care and early education. I run my daycare with my assistant who has 10 years of experience. We’re both moms and CPR & First-aid certified. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education while my assistant has a Child Development Associate's degree.
As parents, we know how difficult it is to find reliable and trustworthy daycare for your little one. Don’t worry, you can count on us! We treat each child in our care as if they were our own, leaving you at peace while away working.
Curriculum:
Manor Park Playhouse follows the Creative early learning approach and offers fun extra-curricular activities, such as singing & dancing, arts & crafts, story time, and outdoor adventures! In addition to English, we can also teach your child the Amharic language (however, please note that we’re not a bilingual program).
We offer a beautiful and colorful space with lots of age-appropriate learning materials. If weather permits, we bring kids to the community playground near our facility.
Program:
Our nurturing family child care and preschool program is open all year, from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Mondays to Fridays. We provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 3 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. If you only need occasional child care needs, we can offer drop-in care.
We also serve peanut and tree-nut free meals (breakfast, lunch, and snacks are included in the tuition). Our COVID prevention procedures include taking temperatures when parents drop off their kids and sanitizing surfaces in between activities.

As a working/single mom the hours of operation for this daycare are a life saver. The owner and her staff are kind and gentle with the kids. The children are also kind to one another—which puts me at ease.

My two year old has been with this caregiver for the last year and a half and she loves her. It is a small daycare where all of the children receive lots of attention and care. She treats all the students like they are her own children.

This provider has a calm and loving presence with our children, maintains a clean and nurturing facility, and provides a variety of song and learning activities for them. She is by far the best care we received for our little ones in DC.

3 of my children attended this day care and were handled with lots of love and attention. They learned their alphabet, numbers, social skills and frequently explored their creativity. They were all prepared for pre school. Highly Recommended!!!

My child started attending this daycare at the age of 5 months. She remained there until she aged out. This provider and her staff provided a loving, nurturing and safe environment and I have no complaints and would highly recommend sending your child there.
