In addition, we are a provider of the Pre-K Enhancement and Expansion program which prepares students for the transition into grade school. This program operates under OSSE (Office of the State Superintendent of Education) and mirrors the DC Public Schools Pre-K program by aligning itself with high quality teachers. Students in this program are given a wide variety of educational opportunities including lessons in technology, multiculturalism, sign language, and monthly field trips designed to enhance the lessons learned in the classroom.
Despite the age of the student, we focus on making learning as fun as possible. Our educators work diligently to plan fun, interactive lessons that have proven to have a high retention rate amongst our students. We have a strong belief that the development of our young minds should be a collaborative effort of our educators, as well as all families. We prioritize the importance of communication between our educators and parents, we ensure so by providing every member of our staff email accounts to ensure that the lines of communication are always open. All members of our staff are highly qualified individuals that possess a true passion for the education and development of young children. Our staff includes high energy, creative individuals that meet or exceed the continuing education requirements each year in Early Childhood Development and Education. In addition our staff must successfully pass drug/alcohol testing, as well as FBI and local police clearances.
We offer an added bonus to all parents of an online system that is used to communicate with families daily. This system provides parents with instant snapshots of their child’s day, and adds a bit of extra peace of mind while in our care. Stop by to take a look at this innovative system!
