At the Y, we provide an environment where children are encouraged and inspired to learn and explore through play, listening, and creating. We believe children need to be exposed to experiences that are meaningful to them in order to promote ownership of their knowledge, build self-confidence and self-discipline, and encourage life-long learning. Typical daily activities include circle time, centers, daily art projects, playground or indoor play time, music, and story time. We use these activities to help children develop socially, emotionally, cognitively, and to enhance the development of their fine and gross motor skills.
