Superkidos Child Care
Welcome to Superkidos Child Care, my licensed home daycare and preschool in Bethesda, MD! About Me: I’m a professional and experienced child care provider with over 6 years of experience working with diverse personalities and a wide range of ages. Before opening my own family child care program, I've worked for several years in other home daycares as well as child care centers. I've been coordinating child care activities, providing instructional & recreational support as well as supervising groups of children. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and I’m CPR & First-aid certified. I can administer medication to all children attending my program since I’m M.A.T trained. I’m also a mother myself, so I know how challenging it parents to find a loving, safe “second home” for your little one. At my daycare, your children will be treated as if they were my own. I'm patient, positive, dedicated and really enthusiastic about working with children! Curriculum: My home is a bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool, so children can learn this foreign language at a very young age. I follow the Play-based learning approach, promoting learning through fun and educational activities such as Arts & Crafts, Music, Story Time, Yoga and Manners. If weather permits, we go outside to enjoy our outdoor playtime. My goal is to develop each child’s emotional, behavioral and social skills through my curriculum. Program: I’m open year-round from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants as young as 2 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old and part-time care between the age of 2 and 5 years old, including children with special needs. My facility is peanut and tree-nut free environment, and I serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks to all kids in my care (all meals are already included in the tuition!) Before and after school care are both available for school-age kids, up to 6 years old (I’m close to Burning Tree Elementary School and Bannockburn Elementary School). If you prefer, we can arrange transportation for your child (not included in the tuition, so please inquire to ask about transportation costs). Please note we have a cat named Tiger living with us at the house. He is up to date on all of his vaccines and he is never around children as he lives in a different part of the house. Location: Superkidos Child Care is located in the Bannockburn neighborhood in Bethesda, MD. My home is right off River Rd (route 190) and Wilson Ln (route 188). I'm centrally located with easy access to the I-495 Capital Beltway, Massachusetts Ave (route 396) and Goldsboro Rd (route 614). Please call or send me an email to schedule a visit, I would love to meet you and your little one!
Bradmoor Educational Playhouse
About Me Welcome to Bradmoor Educational Playhouse, my licensed home daycare and preschool in Bethesda, MD. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 13 years of child care and early education experience. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and I’m CPR & First-aid certified. I am an experienced teacher, and my passion is working with children. I just love being immersed in their world! A dream came true when operating my family child care program, a place where I create a nurturing, creative, and joyful environment for children. Before opening my own home-based daycare, I was a teacher at a multilingual international elementary school in California. Prior to working there, I was also a teacher in Iran after earning a degree in communication. I am very passionate about art and early childhood education, and I am determined to expand my knowledge in this field. Philosophy I truly believe in creating an environment conducive to curiosity, creativity, and altruism. I think that a simple but organized environment, in which natural materials play a pivotal role, best serves my educational purpose and is productive for learning and growing. Most of my teaching materials are Montessori-based. Curriculum I have taken advantage of elements of the Waldorf teaching philosophy to encourage and nurture creativity and imagination in children. I also employ elements of the Reggio Emilia approach to develop a curriculum that is reflective of my mindfulness of the children's different personalities. Having these differences in mind, I strive to instill in children a profound respect and understanding for the world they live in. In addition to English, I speak Farsi, Persian and Turkish and upon your request, I can expose your little one to these foreign languages (however, please note that my daycare is not a bilingual program). Program My family child care program is open year-round from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 6 weeks and 5 years old. I run a peanut and tree-nut free environment and can serve lunch (with additional fee) to your child. Location Bradmoor Educational Playhouse is in the Bradmoor neighborhood of Bethesda, MD. I’m right off Greentree Rd, near Bradley Park, within walking distance from Bradley Hills Elementary School (also close to Wyngate Elementary School and Bethesda Elementary School). Your commute to work will be convenient since I have easy access to Old Georgetown Rd (route 187), Bradley Blvd (route 191) and the Capital Beltway (I-495). Please call or send an email to book a tour, I would love to meet your family :)

Children In The Shoe East West Towers

The Children in the Shoe Inc. provides high quality early care and education for young children. Our programs are play-based, emphasizing creativity,... cooperation and social development. Our emergent curriculum is inspired and driven by the imaginations of children and supported by skillful, knowledgeable teachers, who plan developmentally appropriate experiences based on demonstrated effective early childhood practices. We strive to instill in each child, a joyful passion for learning and a secure social foundation based in cooperative play, self-expression and positive conflict resolution. Academics such as letters, numbers, science, geography, and social studies flow naturally from the creative and exploratory process of guided play. A child who has discovered that the learning process is fun and rewarding is truly prepared to meet the challenges of the more directed teaching methods that they will encounter in Kindergarten and beyond. The Children in the Shoe develops strong caring partnerships with each child's family through daily communication and by listening carefully to parents' ideas and effectively addressing their concerns. We offer regular parent teacher conferences and child assessments, as well as observations, resources, referrals and advice from infancy through preschool. It is our goal to enrich the lives of our employees by providing a safe, happy and supportive place of work. We endeavor to inspire our teachers and directors to continue to advance in the field of Early Childhood Development and to laugh and have fun with the children for whom we are so privileged to care.

For more than 37 years Wonders has been providing a safe, nurturing learning environment parents can trust and depend upon. We are widely acknowledged for our commitment to multicultural education and are proud to be an integral part of our community. No wonder we are now one of the largest nonprofit child care organizations in the greater D.C. area, serving more than 650 families. That's a comment we often hear from the many parents who value our early childhood, pre-K, school age, and summer camp programs. It's a true testament to our caring learning environment, engaging teachers, and emphasis on community-building. Our nine sites offer a wide range of age-appropriate programs designed to embrace the cultures of the families we serve, and also the larger community beyond us. To this end, the Wonders Diversity Committee—comprised of teachers, directors and administrators—works to ensure that themes of sharing, fairness, and anti-bias are integrated into our always-evolving curriculum to create a positive transition between home and school. Our highly accredited Wonders teachers come from diverse cultural backgrounds and varied work experiences, but share several common traits: across our nine locations, our teachers are creative, mindful, and energetic, and all participate in ongoing professional development through our Professional Development Consortium. In addition, many are pursuing advanced child development and education degrees. We recognize their dedication to professionalism by providing a stimulating working environment and competitive salary/benefit packages, which, in turn, has resulted in a highly satisfied staff with low turnover.

Smart Kids Bilingual Learning Daycare

Smart Kids Bilingual Learning Daycare, Bethesda is a licensed and bilingual (English/ Spanish) daycare, we are part of Maryland Excels program. Our... main objective is to support and encourage the process of development and learning from age of three months through six years old. At Smart Kids Bilingual Learning Daycare, we believe each child has tremendous potential and capacity for learning across all developmental domains: physical, cognitive, emotional, language and social; taking into account that adults play an important role in laying the foundation and setting the stage for learning success since the process of development is influenced by experiences and relationships. In our program, it is a priority to guide each child during each stage of growth and help them develop their intelligence, keeping in mind their needs and interests. We also emphasize the importance of learning a second language, Spanish, since this process helps children be independent and confident. It also helps children develop high self-esteem, and is an important key for their future. VISION Our principal aim is to offer high quality level of child care related to a learning environment through which each child can develop their special capacities and demonstrate their own strengths. Furthermore, for Smart Kids Bilingual Learning Daycare, it is really important to promote a bilingual approach (English/Spanish) taking into account the importance and the impact of learning another language nowadays. We also consider that bilingual children have a tendency to develop more skills in different areas as their cognitive and educational development, also they are more creative, they are capable to solve the problems around their environment, and they are more flexible in the way they think as a result of processing information through two different language systems. PHILOSOPHY Our philosophy is based on "THE LEARNING THROUGH PLAY", considering the "Creative Curriculum" as guide since our main objective is to meet the needs of children and encouraging them to experiment, explore and follow their own interests through educational experiences in a natural way, so they can build their own process of learning.
