Students at New Hope Academy can begin their educational journey in the Preschool, ages 3-5 years. New Hope Academy's YOUNG EXPLORERS Preschool Program provides a safe and loving environment while stimulating your child's curiosity. Each session is filled with projects and activities related to a weekly theme. Explorers visit a local splash park and venture out on a field trip or experience an in-house special activity such as a petting zoo or puppet show. Water play, arts and crafts, cooking, story time, singing and lots of outdoor play create a healthy and memorable summer for your child. Explorers must be fully potty trained. The program is open to the community for ages 4 and 5. 3 year-olds must be enrolled for the school year to participate. About Me Welcome to Winslow Hills Multilingual Children's Place, my home daycare and preschool in Alexandria, VA. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 2 decades of experience in child care and early childhood education. I’m a mother of 4 myself and I hold a CPR & First-aid certifications, so you can be sure that little one is safe at all times. My daycare offers a nurturing and loving environment and I treat every child as if they are my own. Curriculum Learning should be fun! That is why I follow the Play-based teaching philosophy, allowing children to learn through play. My program offers many engaging educational activities such as Story Time, Arts & Crafts, Singing, Exercise & Fitness, and Cooking Time! I make sure to prepare my little students for kindergarten and teach basic math as well as early literacy. In addition to English, I also speak Spanish and Korean fluently. My daycare is a bilingual Spanish program (I speak Spanish and English throughout the day), and I can also teach Korean upon parents' request. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to become multilingual at a very young age! Program My child care hours are between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer various options to accommodate your child care needs such as full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 3 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old. Before and after school care are both available for school-age kids, up to 12 years old (I’m near Bush Hill Elementary School, Rose Hill Elementary School, Clermont Elementary School, and Franconia Elementary School). Lunch and Snacks are already included in the tuition and provided to all children in my care (I run a peanut and tree-nut free daycare). Locations Winslow Hills Multilingual Children's Place is located in the Winslow Hills neighborhood of Alexandria. My facility is right off Franconia Rd (route 644), near the Rose Hill Shopping Center. Your daily commute to work will be convenient since I have easy access to Telegraph road (route 611), the Capital Beltway (I-495) and the I-95.
