Westbury Glen Schoolhouse
About Me Westbury Glen Schoolhouse is a home-based daycare and preschool in Aldie, VA. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 15 years of experience in providing child care and early childhood education. As a mother of 2 myself, I want every child in my care to have a warm and home-like environment where they feel loved and safe. I’m CPR and First-aid certified, as well as M.A.T trained so if needed, I can administer medication to all children in my care. Curriculum I follow the Play-based learning principles, so children are encouraged to learn through play and fun educational activities. My curriculum is tailored to each child's unique needs and developmental stage. I not only focus on providing nurturing and high-quality child care, but also strive to promote educational growth and learning. My little students will be engaged in various academic and creative activities such as STEM, Arts & Crafts, Painting, Puzzles, Team Building and much more! In addition to English, I speak Persian, Dari, and Urdu and upon your request, I can expose your child to these foreign languages (this is a wonderful opportunity for your child to learn a new language, however, please note that we are not a bilingual daycare). I also have fenced backyard, and will have a playground where kids can spend time outdoors playing and having fun! Program My facility is open year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 2 months and 5 years old. Home-cooked breakfast, lunch and snacks are served to all kids attending my program (all meals are already included in the tuition) and due to possible allergies, I run a peanut free daycare. Location Westbury Glen Schoolhouse is located in the Westbury Glen neighborhood of Aldie, VA (between Lenah and Gilbert's Corner). We're right off Lee Jackson Memorial Hwy (US-50), near Gilbert’s Corner Regional Park. You everyday commute will be convenient since we have easy access to route 15 and Sully Road (route 28). Thanks for reading my profile, send an email or request a tour at your convenience. I look forward to meeting your family!

Robina Malik Family Child Care

I have been working with children for over 25 years. I started working with children in 1989 at The Reston Children's Center. While working there, I... also attended school, and completed my Early Child Hood Education courses. I decided to open my own home daycare in a small setting so I could focus on each child and to ensure that each child gets the attention that they need and deserve. I love working with children, and in my opinion, children are like angels and I love being around them. I never get tired of being around them and they are so precious and always make me happy, even if I'm having a bad day, seeing and being around them makes me happy and feel better. Its a precious opportunity to get to work with them all day! At my Home Daycare we do a daily routine. In the mornings, after breakfast we have academic time, where the older children participate in circle time. Here, we learn numbers, days, months and learn today's date. Then we do playtime, and I have lots of educational toys to teach developmental skills. We do arts and crafts and do many projects such as drawing, building, finger painting or brush painting. I like to keep the kids busy with fun projects and arts. Lunch is at noon and then nap time. The afternoon is free time, they can play house and play with the toys and we also do story time. We have puzzles with animals and animals names on them. There is a playground nearby where we have outdoor play. I would love to meet with you and show you around my daycare. Please come in for a tour to see if my place is the right fit for you! NOTE: Please note that this child care program has a Voluntary Registration, it is NOT licensed by the State of Virginia. In Virginia, licensed child care programs are inspected at least twice a year and have requirements for background checks, training/orientation, and health and safety. Voluntarily registered home daycares are not required to be licensed, but meet certain requirements which may be less stringent than licensed daycares (for instance, they may not undergo two unannounced inspections per year).
