Superkidos Child Care
Welcome to Superkidos Child Care, my licensed home daycare and preschool in Bethesda, MD! About Me: I’m a professional and experienced child care provider with over 6 years of experience working with diverse personalities and a wide range of ages. Before opening my own family child care program, I've worked for several years in other home daycares as well as child care centers. I've been coordinating child care activities, providing instructional & recreational support as well as supervising groups of children. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and I’m CPR & First-aid certified. I can administer medication to all children attending my program since I’m M.A.T trained. I’m also a mother myself, so I know how challenging it parents to find a loving, safe “second home” for your little one. At my daycare, your children will be treated as if they were my own. I'm patient, positive, dedicated and really enthusiastic about working with children! Curriculum: My home is a bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool, so children can learn this foreign language at a very young age. I follow the Play-based learning approach, promoting learning through fun and educational activities such as Arts & Crafts, Music, Story Time, Yoga and Manners. If weather permits, we go outside to enjoy our outdoor playtime. My goal is to develop each child’s emotional, behavioral and social skills through my curriculum. Program: I’m open year-round from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants as young as 2 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old and part-time care between the age of 2 and 5 years old, including children with special needs. My facility is peanut and tree-nut free environment, and I serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks to all kids in my care (all meals are already included in the tuition!) Before and after school care are both available for school-age kids, up to 6 years old (I’m close to Burning Tree Elementary School and Bannockburn Elementary School). If you prefer, we can arrange transportation for your child (not included in the tuition, so please inquire to ask about transportation costs). Please note we have a cat named Tiger living with us at the house. He is up to date on all of his vaccines and he is never around children as he lives in a different part of the house. Location: Superkidos Child Care is located in the Bannockburn neighborhood in Bethesda, MD. My home is right off River Rd (route 190) and Wilson Ln (route 188). I'm centrally located with easy access to the I-495 Capital Beltway, Massachusetts Ave (route 396) and Goldsboro Rd (route 614). Please call or send me an email to schedule a visit, I would love to meet you and your little one!
Bradmoor Educational Playhouse
About Me Welcome to Bradmoor Educational Playhouse, my licensed home daycare and preschool in Bethesda, MD. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 13 years of child care and early education experience. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and I’m CPR & First-aid certified. I am an experienced teacher, and my passion is working with children. I just love being immersed in their world! A dream came true when operating my family child care program, a place where I create a nurturing, creative, and joyful environment for children. Before opening my own home-based daycare, I was a teacher at a multilingual international elementary school in California. Prior to working there, I was also a teacher in Iran after earning a degree in communication. I am very passionate about art and early childhood education, and I am determined to expand my knowledge in this field. Philosophy I truly believe in creating an environment conducive to curiosity, creativity, and altruism. I think that a simple but organized environment, in which natural materials play a pivotal role, best serves my educational purpose and is productive for learning and growing. Most of my teaching materials are Montessori-based. Curriculum I have taken advantage of elements of the Waldorf teaching philosophy to encourage and nurture creativity and imagination in children. I also employ elements of the Reggio Emilia approach to develop a curriculum that is reflective of my mindfulness of the children's different personalities. Having these differences in mind, I strive to instill in children a profound respect and understanding for the world they live in. In addition to English, I speak Farsi, Persian and Turkish and upon your request, I can expose your little one to these foreign languages (however, please note that my daycare is not a bilingual program). Program My family child care program is open year-round from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 6 weeks and 5 years old. I run a peanut and tree-nut free environment and can serve lunch (with additional fee) to your child. Location Bradmoor Educational Playhouse is in the Bradmoor neighborhood of Bethesda, MD. I’m right off Greentree Rd, near Bradley Park, within walking distance from Bradley Hills Elementary School (also close to Wyngate Elementary School and Bethesda Elementary School). Your commute to work will be convenient since I have easy access to Old Georgetown Rd (route 187), Bradley Blvd (route 191) and the Capital Beltway (I-495). Please call or send an email to book a tour, I would love to meet your family :)

Ridgemont Montessori School

At Ridgemont, we foster a love of learning within our students and create a setting where children learn at their own pace in a cooperative... atmosphere. We feel fortunate to have a sense of community present, not only within our classrooms, but also within our parent group. was founded in McLean in 1965 and has served McLean and its surrounding areas since that time. We enroll 65 students in our school and adhere to the Montessori principles established by Dr. Maria Montessori and the Association Montessori Internationale. By visiting our website, we hope you will learn more about a Montessori education and what Ridgemont can offer your child. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you about Ridgemont and to have you visit our school. The Montessori Environment When your child steps into a Montessori classroom, a whole new world of activities and materials is made available to him. The Montessori classroom is a child-sized environment which offers your child a means for exploration, continuing development of movement, independent functioning, language development and positive social interaction. Dr.Montessori called the classroom a ”prepared environment”. The Montessori materials are kept on low shelves that are easy for a young child to reach. Children are free to choose the materials they want to use as well as select the place in the classroom where they want to work as long as they don’t interfere with the work of others. Our only requirement is that the classroom materials be used with purpose and that everything be returned to its original place when finished. Within this framework,The Ridgemont Montessori School is dedicated to offering a joyful and supportive learning environment. We realize that each child is a unique individual with different needs. We are sensitive to this diversity and provide a classroom environment where children develop a love of learning and a curiosity about the world in which they live. Our students learn at their own pace in a cooperative atmosphere. They are encouraged to make choices in order to develop a sense of independence and self-worth. The Montessori materials provide concrete learning experiences and the joy of discovery. We believe that the impressions formed today have a lasting impact on a child’s attitude towards learning and life itself. Toddler Classroom The Toddler class at Ridgemont Montessori School is a small community of children, numbering no more than nine students. The environment provides opportunity for socialization, language enrichment, sensorial exploration, and coordination of movement. Sharing and cooperation are also stressed. We want your child to feel secure in what may be his first experience away from his family. Hours and Days The Toddler class meets Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. The minimum age requirement is 18 months. It is suggested, though not required, that children enter by their second birthday in order to benefit from at least six months in the program. Toddler students may move into the Primary classes at around 3 years of age. Readiness is determined by the Toddler teacher and the child’s parents. A child entering the Primary class must be toilet-trained. Nutrition Each day at mid-morning, the children come together for a snack. They assist the teacher in preparing the food, setting the tables, serving each other, and cleaning up afterward. This is a popular daily event! Parents provide the daily snack for the Toddler class. The menu schedule is set up at the beginning of the school year. Primary In a mixed-age setting that is a part of a Montessori environment, a true community is formed. The children remain in the same class and usually have the same teacher for the three or four years that they are at the school. They learn from each other in a cooperative atmosphere where respect for one another is encouraged. The younger children have many opportunities each day to observe the work and activities of their older classmates. On the other hand, the older children grow in self-confidence and learn responsibilty from being the oldest. They also have an opportunity to reinforce their knowledge when they are able to share it with their younger classmates. There are three Primary classes at Ridgemont comprised of children between three and six years of age. Our class sizes range between 18 and 20 students. When considering a Montessori education for your child, it is best to keep in mind that the Primary Montessori program takes three to four years to complete. The Primary Montessori classroom is divided into four curriculum areas: Practical Life, Sensorial, Mathematics and Language. Geography, art, and music are also a part of the daily life in a Montessori class.
