Town Country Forest Playhouse
About Me: Welcome to Town Country Forest Playhouse, my cozy home daycare and preschool in Fairfax, VA. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 20 years of child care and early childhood education experience. I’m CPR & First-aid certified and I successfully completed the Medication Administration Training (MAT) Program. As a mother myself, I can relate to your concerns when it comes to finding a trustworthy place where you can leave your little one with confidence, peace of mind and without worries. Program: My child care and preschool program is open year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time and part-time care for infants and toddlers between the age of 2 weeks and 2.5 years old. I can also accommodate drop-in care if you have occasional needs only. My facility offers a home-like, calm, peaceful environment for kids to grow, play, learn and enjoy their day. I have a spacious child care facility with more than enough space for kids to move around freely and play together safely. I provide snacks (already included in the tuition), and offer a peanut and tree-nut free environment. Curriculum: I follow the Play-based learning approach, so children are having fun while learning. I love to enrich their learning process and keep them active through play. We learn sounds, the alphabet, numbers, colors through nature, wildlife, etc. I also engage them in educational activities such as Story Time, Music, Arts & Crafts. In addition to English, I speak Persian, Farsi, Urdu, and Pashto fluently and upon your request, I can expose your child to these foreign languages (however, my daycare is not a bilingual program). Location: Town Country Forest Playhouse is located in the Town Country Forest residential neighborhood in Fairfax, VA. My home is located off Jermantown Rd and has easy access to Fairfax Blvd/Main St (US-50) and the I-66, so your day to day commute will be easier. Please send an email or call to schedule a visit, I would love to meet your family!

CHURCH PURPOSE The church exists to bring God glory and to serve... Christ, the head of the church. God is glorified by the transforming power of the gospel working among each local church to train and transform believers into greater and greater reflections of Christ's glory. To this end, we strive to teach and train our congregation to know and obey the Scripture. Our church focuses its energies on teaching ministries first, fellowship second, service third, and evangelism always. We understand how important your child is to you and to the Kingdom of God. Rest assured that we will work to keep your child safe and comfortable at our church while investing our time into teaching them the truth of God's Word. We offer enriching programs for your child of any age. Nursery: Infant - 2 years old We have nursery available for all of our Sunday and Wednesday services. Infants are welcome with parents at our Care Group meetings as well. Children: 3 years - 5th grade For our children in these formative years, we teach them during Sunday School classes (9:45am Sundays), Praise Factory (during the sermon portion of the Sunday worhsip service), and Pioneer Club during the Wednesday Faith Community Institute program (6:45pm). All of these offer social growth opportunities, but focus on instilling biblical knowledge and understanding of who God is and what he does. Youth: 6th grade - 12th grade Our growing youth group is an exciting place for young adults to learn what the Bible means and how it applies to the challenges of their lives. Questions are welcome, and answers come from the Bible during group discusisons. The youth serve in ministry and have the opportunity to participate in several outings and camps every year. The youth meet for Sunday School (9:45am Sundays) and Wednesday "Youth Group" (6:45pm during the school year; 7:00 during the summer). Christ Evangical Lutheran Church

At Christ Lutheran we understand children. They are an important... part of the the Christ Lutheran family. If you prefer, we have a full nursery available upon request that provides child care for infants and toddlers. Each Sunday children are invited to come forward for a short Children’s time where they will get a brief explanation of the week’s lesson. Speakers in the nursery and the lobby (Narthex) allow you to listen to the service even if you need to take your child out of the Sanctuary. Christ Lutheran Preschool is a small nonprofit Christian preschool. As an extension of the Christ Lutheran Church we seek to provide an atmosphere of Christian love and understanding. These pages are intended to answer your questions regarding philosophy, procedures and policies. Please keep this handbook for future reference. Goals and Philosophy Our emphasis is on social development. We feel the total development of the preschooler is far more important than the acquisition of factual knowledge. The child’s social development and self-concept are most important at this point. Basic to this development is consideration and love for others… lessons which cannot be learned with rigid rules and regulations, but require a relaxed and loving atmosphere. The following list of basic goals have been derived from the philosophy stated above. During each child’s time with us, we hope that he/she will learn to do the following: learn to interact with others learn to share in work and play learn to assume responsibility for one’s actions learn to take pride in achievements and, by the same token, acknowledge mistakes learn to express ideas and feelings learn to make choices learn to compromise and contribute within their group learn to finish started projects In addition, while our emphasis is on social development, we do recognize that the preschool years are a time for growth and learning in many areas. For this reason, our curriculum will include appropriate experiences with these activities: Free-play and group sharing Stories, puppets, and drama Alphabet Numbers and counting Arts and crafts Music Fine and gross motor development Outdoor play Field trips Mid-morning snack Bible-based weekly chapel Family activities Preschool Programs TWO-YEAR-OLD CLASS: This class is a play-group-type program for toddlers who will be two years old by September 30. THREE-YEAR-OLD CLASS: Three-year-olds have a choice of attending two days a week or three days a week. To be in the three year old class, a child must be three years old by September 30 and must be toilet trained (no diapers or pull-ups). FOUR-YEAR-OLD CLASS: The four-year-olds have a choice of attending three days a week or four days a week. Children must be four years old by September 30th to register for a four-year-old class. Children must be toilet trained. SCHOOL SCHEDULE The two-year-old classes meet twice a week — one class meets on Tuesday and Thursday and the other meets on Wednesday and Friday. Classes will be from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon. All other preschool classes will meet from 9:15 am to 12:00 noon. There are two classes for three-year-olds: Tuesday/Thursday mornings, and Monday/Wednesday/ Friday mornings. We recommend that young threes enroll in the Tuesday/Thursday program. There are two classes for four-year-olds: Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings and Tuesday/ Wednesday/Thursday/Friday mornings. We recommend that the young fours enroll in the Monday/ Wednesday/Friday class. School is in session from September through May. The preschool follows the same general schedule for holidays as the Fairfax County public schools unless a specific exception is scheduled by the director and a notice is given to the parents.
