Skyview Park Kids Playhouse
Skyview Park Kids Playhouse is a small family daycare in Alexandria, VA. I am the owner and main caregiver, and I offer an intimate, home-like environment. I hold an Associate's Degree in General Health, and I am a certified nursing assistant; I'm also CPR and First-aid certified. I am a mother of 3 and I have 7 years of experience. As an experienced caregiver, I understand the importance of providing safe, fun, and affordable child care for your little one. I follow a Play-based teaching philosophy – allowing kids to be kids, and to learn through age-appropriate fun educational activities. My home daycare is right next door to a small park and a few steps away from the playground. I live in a nice, quiet residential community and if weather permits, I always take the children to the park for fun outdoor playtime. My daycare is open year-round from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer flexible child care options to accommodate working parents such as full-time and part-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers (ages between 3 months to 5 years old, including children with special needs). I’m part of the USDA Food Program and I run peanut & tree-nut free environment. I also serve lunch and snacks to all children in my care (included in the tuition). Drop-in care is also available for your occasional needs. For school-age kids up to 12 years old, I can provide before and after school care (I’m close to Woodlawn Elementary School and near Riverside Elementary School and Woodley Hills Elementary School). Skyview Park Kids Playhouse is located in the Skyview Park neighborhood of Mount Vernon, Alexandria. I’m right off Frye Rd and Richmond Hwy (route 1), near Woodlawn Park. Thanks for reading my profile, please send an email to schedule a tour. Make sure to contact me on CareLuLu to get an additional 5 percent discount off my regular tuition rates! I’m excited to meet your family!
Lorton Station Children's Den
At Lorton Station Children's Den, we understand that one of the most crucial phase of a child's life is as a toddler. This is when the child’s interpersonal skills develop with more diversity to include interaction with individuals other than immediate family. Our home daycare provides a schedule of learning activities to explore, nourish, and develop skills in your child such as drawing, free play, Kids Arts and Crafts, Holiday Seasonal Crafts and tram work. These activities are designed to stimulate children's senses and provide wonderful learning opportunities. Based on the research, I have found that between age 0-2 years of age the child learns about himself and his/her environment and during this age baby grain grows about five centimeters during the first three months. I am certified in child care in State of Virginia with 8 years’ experience in childcare. During this process my entire family had to go through back group checks along with TB tests. I have CPR& First Aid and MAT Certification. I am also a NAFCC member and has a Child Development Associate Credential. I am accepting children from New Born to 12 years of age and am open from 6:00am to 6:00pm on weekdays. I am excited to meet your family and to provide the best care possible for your children. It’s a very serious responsibility and I give my commitment to the safety and well-being of your child. Being a mother of a daughter, I understand and feel the emotions leaving the child under someone else's care. Please visit us at our home daycare and call me with any questions are concerns you may have. We also work with military families!
