Valley Park Children's Place is an intimate home-based daycare and preschool in Alexandria, VA. Conveniently located in the Valley Park building complex, just off Edsall Rd and near Bren Mar Park Elementary School, the child care facility is easily accessible for all commuters, with convenient access to the I-395 and the I-495 (Capital Beltway).

The owner and caregiver of Valley Park Children's Place is a mother of four children who has 9 years of experience, including working as an assistant teacher at KinderCare. Her journey into opening up her own daycare started with my desire to provide a safe, loving and nurturing environment where children can thrive. She understands the trust that parents place in their caregivers, and her goal is to treat each child in as if they were her own.

Valley Park Children's Place is open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The child care and preschool program cater to children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, offering full-time care, as well as babysitting for occasional needs. Whether your little one is an infant, toddler, or preschooler, they provide an engaging, nurturing environment to learn and grow.

The daycare embraces the play-based teaching philosophy, believing that children learn best through hands-on exploration and discovery. Their curriculum is designed to lay a solid foundation for learning while offering children fun and exciting activities. From building blocks and arts materials to puzzles and outdoor play, they provide enriching experiences that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.

The daycare benefits from a Community Playground where children can have fun and engage in activities that enhance their motor skills (weather permitting). The in-home daycare is intimate, but offers a spacious Multipurpose Room, providing ample space for children to explore and play. Equipped with computers and video cameras, they ensure a safe and secure environment at all times. This is a peanut and tree-nut free facility, and snacks are included in the tuition.
