Elham's Home Daycare, Bethesda

Our son attended daycare here for about 9 months while my husband was on a contract position in DC. We were so fortunate to find this daycare. We had done a “name brand” daycare before - and I was initially nervous about switching to in-home but I’m so glad we did. It felt like my son really became a part of the family here. I liked how there was a range of ages of the children - it allowed him to stretch himself to be more like the “big kids” but also how to interact with the babies. It was a little thing - but something else I loved was getting a folder with all of his artwork once a month. Above all - the daycare provider here was just so amazing, and so caring. Dropping my son off everyday is hard - but being welcomed by the provider’s upbeat, smiling face made it so much easier. She really cares about the kids and their development - my son went from 9 to 18 months so in her care he changed so much and I credit her for a lot of his growth. We were so sad to have to leave this daycare but only hope that someone else will be able to take my son’s spot and benefit from this great provider!

This provider is so loving and caring and I’m so happy we found her. I would recommend her to anyone. She’s amazing.

This provider and her staff were a godsend to us. As first time parents we were very anxious about going back to work and finding care for our 3 month old. We were deciding between keeping our baby home with a nanny or placing her in a small child care center. We ended up choosing this provider because she and her staff created such a warm and loving environment in their in-home child care center encouraging interactive play with the the other children. It was not overwhelming like the other places we interviewed. On the first day we left our baby I could tell right away that she felt safe and comfortable which was a huge relief and reassured us that this was the right choice. This provider gently transitioned our baby on a schedule that worked for both of us which ultimately resulted in better eating habits and better sleep for our baby. This provider shares the same belief as we do as parents that these first few years are crucial to social and cognitive development and it was evident as they were always very interactive with the babies while they were awake making each moment count. She kept a very good communication with us and was always very responsive throughout the day if we had questions or wanted to check in. In addition to caring for our baby, this provider and her staff were always very supportive of us as parents and always had tips or suggestions during the ever changing stages of infants. Her operating hours were also very helpful for us as my husband and I both worked downtown and the commute was always unpredictable. We were able to drop off early in order to get to work on time and have enough time to get back out of the city at the end of the day. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience for our baby girl and are so thankful that we found this provider . I highly recommend.

We can't recommend this provider enough! Our son (15 months) has been with her since he was only 12 weeks old, and we've never had a reason to worry about his care. She's extremely warm and loving with the kids. My son loves going to daycare. He's all smiles whenever we pull up to her house and at home he's always saying her name and the names of his playmates.

This is a lovely home-base daycare, with a warm and safe environment for the little ones. I highly recommend this facility, especially for the age range of few-months to two years of age.
