Welcome to Palisades Kids Playhouse, our licensed home daycare in Washington, DC! Im the owner and main caregiver and I have 20 years of experience. Im a mother of 3 myself and I hold a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. I run my family child care program with 2 assistants who have 30 years of combined child care experience. At our daycare, you can be sure that your child is safe and secure since were all CPR & First-aid certified. Were also MAT trained so we can also administer medication to children in our care.

It has been proven that young children learn best through play, that is why we follow the Play-based learning approach. We also incorporate extra-curricular activities to make our day more fun and educational. For instance, daily activities include Arts, Drawing, Games, Music, Story Time, Circle Time, Life Skills, Yoga, and Manners (we have instructional posters for manners, respect, kindness, and safety). We also teach ABCs, colors, and shapes, and if the weather permits, we play outside in our private playground. In addition to English, we speak Spanish and Tagalog and upon your request, we can expose your child to these foreign languages. This is a wonderful opportunity for your little one to learn another language at a very young age (note that our daycare is not a formal bilingual program).

Our child care program is open year-round between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We offer full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 2 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 4 years old. The full-time care rate covers for no more than 8 hours a day. If you wish to extend your hours, it can be offered for an additional fee.

To prevent the kids from being sick, I always sanitize toys, cribs, and tables, and I deep clean twice a month for the carpets, as well as my space every other Friday.

Palisades Kids Playhouse is in the Palisades neighborhood of Northwest Washington DC. We are right off MacArthur Blvd NW and Canal Rd NW, near Palisades Playground and Key Elementary School. Your daily commute will be convenient since were just a few minutes away from these major roads: the George Washington Memorial Pkwy, Chain Bridge Rd (route 123) and N Glebe Rd (route 120).
