About Me
Dear parents, welcome to Gunners View Kids Playhouse, my family child care and preschool program in Germantown, MD. I am a mom of 4 and I have 10 years of experience. I'm currently working on my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development, and have earned an Infants and Toddlers Certificate as well as a Preschool Teacher certificate. I am also CPR and First Aid certified, and a Medication and Administration certified.
Program
My hours of operation are between 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time child care and preschool (between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old). I also accept before and after school care and can take care of children of all ages up to 20 years old. Lunch and snacks are offered to the children in my care, included in the tuition (we are a peanut and tree-nut free daycare). My goal is to create a positive learning experience through engaging activities. Here, your child will enjoy learning at their individual pace!
Curriculum
My daily program uses a creative curriculum that includes science, arts, stories, and music. I also teach the children numbers, shapes, good manners, and the human body and emotions. In addition to English, I speak French and can teach my little students (though I don't offer a French immersion or bilingual French daycare).
My child care and early learning program uses the WEE Learn approach, which is a developmentally appropriate curriculum for Christian settings designed for young children. Our curriculum not only focuses on moral and spiritual development (we teach about God’s Love through songs and stories), but also includes early math and cognitive skills development. We also emphasize on early language development, fine and gross motor skills as well as social-emotional development.
I have a beautiful learning space that is well-furnished with bright walls, educational charts posted everywhere, age-appropriate toys, and activity stations. Our daycare has activity sets that have children match shapes and animals to fit into puzzles. Our space has a warm touch to it with pictures of children and a birthday chart to celebrate each child.

Gunners View Kids Playhouse is located off Middlebrook Rd and Great Seneca Hwy in Germantown, MD (near Seneca Valley High School). My home daycare is just a minute away from the I-270 so it’s convenient for your morning/evening commute to work. We are so thankful to have found this daycare! Excellent communication about daily activities and upcoming events. We have been very impressed with the curriculum and the variety of tools implemented for learning and play. Our son transitioned easily into her care. We loved our experience sending our son to this daycare. We were apprehensive about having to put our son in the care of strangers just after his first birthday, but her facility was a wonderful, caring environment for him. She was clear in communication with parents, the kids were constantly being offered interesting and fun learning/play experiences, and she seemed committed to making sure each child was growing, learning, and progressing.
You can probably tell a lot about a daycare by the types of children that attend it - they are being formed by their experiences there, after all. The other children (both her actual kids and the other paying students) were incredibly kind and loving to our son. They were excited to see him every morning. They rushed to greet him with smiles and toys, even when he was still at the stage where he cried everyday when Daddy dropped him off (that stage didn’t last long - he was soon excited to go!). They were patient with him and tried to teach him how to be a good friend even though he was much younger than they were. I think any child being taken care of by her will turn out to be a very loving and friendly person. You should absolutely trust her to care for your child!

This is the best daycare we could have hoped for. After some terrible experiences in NYC, we moved back to the Maryland area and joined this facility because our friend's child was going there and loved it. Our son has flourished under the supervision of the provider and her husband (coach). The kids go outside a lot to play and learn about nature, they do arts, read a lot and learn so many things.
You can tell that the provider loves all the children and they love her so much, some of them cry sometimes at pick-up time because they don't want to leave, that's how much fun they're having.
The provider and her family are like family to ours now and we feel confident sending our child there and referring her.

I absolutely love this daycare! Teachers care so much about my daughter. She is nothing but smiles when I drop her off and pick her up. They have a great curriculum, and are always doing projects with the children. I am so grateful that I have peace of mind everyday that my daughter is in a safe and welcoming place.

This provider is a loving, caring and thoughtful teacher. My child was welcomed as if part of a family, and has really blossomed (like the tree in the garden) since beginning there, both academically and emotionally. The children enjoy learning some french, dancing, messy painting as well as following a pre-school curriculum. My daughter even asked me to pick her up late because she loved it there so much. Highly recommend :)

This is one of the best kids center my son has ever attended. Not only my son is learning a 2nd language but also they have a great curriculum for children. I recommend this Daycare to any parent looking for a safe, healthy and welcoming place for their. child.

We were lucky to have this provider as the lead teacher for my 3-year old daughter. I really like the way she interacts with kids. She is a gifted teacher who knows how to organize class, letting kids having fun but at the same time well-behaving. Everyday classroom is never boring when this provider is around. Kids sense her love toward them and naturally cling to her. Even when she was pregnant with her baby girl, she was still energetic around kids and took good care of them. My daughter thrived under her care. My daughter was extremely shy. This provider helped us in many ways to get my daughter to talk and interact with people, from working with counselor to constant practice and encouragement. Thanks for this provider's patience and love, My daugher eventually enjoyed the daycare. A caring teacher can really make changes in a child life. This provider is the rare type of teacher that one dose not always have a chance to meet. I recommend her with strongest enthusiasm.
