Gunners View Kids Playhouse, Germantown

Dear parents, welcome to Gunners View Kids Playhouse, my family child care and preschool program in Germantown, MD. I am a mom of 4 and I have 10 years of experience. I'm currently working on my Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development, and have earned an Infants and Toddlers Certificate as well as a Preschool Teacher certificate. I am also CPR and First Aid certified, and a Medication and Administration certified.

My hours of operation are between 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I offer full-time child care and preschool (between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old). I also accept before and after school care and can take care of children of all ages up to 20 years old. Lunch and snacks are offered to the children in my care, included in the tuition (we are a peanut and tree-nut free daycare). My goal is to create a positive learning experience through engaging activities. Here, your child will enjoy learning at their individual pace!

My daily program uses a creative curriculum that includes science, arts, stories, and music. I also teach the children numbers, shapes, good manners, and the human body and emotions. In addition to English, I speak French and can teach my little students (though I don't offer a French immersion or bilingual French daycare). My child care and early learning program uses the WEE Learn approach, which is a developmentally appropriate curriculum for Christian settings designed for young children. Our curriculum not only focuses on moral and spiritual development (we teach about God’s Love through songs and stories), but also includes early math and cognitive skills development. We also emphasize on early language development, fine and gross motor skills as well as social-emotional development. I have a beautiful learning space that is well-furnished with bright walls, educational charts posted everywhere, age-appropriate toys, and activity stations. Our daycare has activity sets that have children match shapes and animals to fit into puzzles. Our space has a warm touch to it with pictures of children and a birthday chart to celebrate each child.

Gunners View Kids Playhouse is located off Middlebrook Rd and Great Seneca Hwy in Germantown, MD (near Seneca Valley High School). My home daycare is just a minute away from the I-270 so it’s convenient for your morning/evening commute to work.
